Kaya ako pinili ko high school ang turuan mas matino kausap basta cool cool ka lang. Pero am going to take Masters in Educ Psych para makapagturo ako ng nursery or preschool

anymore feedbacks on college teaching? yung mga pasaway college students, anong school yun? kasi when i was in DLSU, talagang super strict eh, talagang protected din ang rights ng teachers.

Itetest ka talaga nila kung alam mo yung pinagsasabi mo, ang ingay nila ang haharot [textspeak!] ko maawat, tapos magdedemand pa na ibahin yung teaching style kasi [textspeak!] daw ako effective, after one month nagquit ako talaga,tapos nasabi ko sa sarili ko [textspeak!] na ako ulit magteteacher.

korek! may mga ganyan talagang students. kaya i never let them get to me or intimidate me. this is by far one of the toughest challenges i had to face since i started teaching a few months after graduation.

siguro nga this is somehow meant for me. dati kasi BS Bio dapat ako as pre-med. but i changed my mind. baka kasi di mapagpatuloy then bagsak ko as a teacher. but look at where i am now... how ironic.

subukan lang nila! sabi ko nga, if meron silang attitude problem, mas MALALA at mas MALAKI ang attitude problem ko!

it's also to my advantage that my age is nearer to my students. alam ko na mga style nila, gawain ko din kasi yun dati. hehe

Naexperience ko pa na sa sobrang sabik ko magcheck ng testpaper [textspeak!] ko pinacheckan sa mga students ko gosh paguwi ko ng bahay nagsawa ako...nakakasuka pala. 

Na experience ko rin yan sis lalo na kung end of school year na at hinahabol ko ang oras, Naku! parang gusto kong sunugin ang mga libro! nakakasawa talaga .. grabe KG2 palang eh may 14 books na sila per child un ha !! as in nkakainis mag check buti sana kung yun lang ang iispin mo

^nakakainis nga mag check ng papers. mabuti sana kung karamihan tama answers nila. at least mawawala pagod mo. these days, laboratory subjects ang hinahandle ko so less paperwork more on projects. ang downside lang, mas mahirap magcheck ng projects.

Sis start ako don ng P80/hour lang. P90 pag ala ka absent late. Pero don sa kasama ko sa 22nd floor East Tower is P100/hour (E-biz Ventures ata). Pero as you get better the rates also increase daw. So far I am enjoying it kasi ok mga students ko and di naman hectic ang sched. For those interested sa Icompia walk in lang sa 2905 West Tower.

I have a question. I am planning to have a tatoo and I am going to be a high school / preschool teacher. Do you think am going to have a problem finding a teaching job overseas? Sa Pinas given na iyon, pero abroad, I don't have any concrete idea. My friends who came from the US that it is not an issue. Anyways, hindi ko naman siya ipapalagay somewhere na makikita unless I wear 2 piece to school

^hay mga sis alala ko tuloy practicum ko nung college. I had to remove yung 1 ko earring kasi 2 earrings ko dati per ear. Kasi I also did counseling sa Elementary.

Sa case mo sis Diwata, pag di naman nakikita I don't think issue naman. Wag lang sa batok or arms or leg [textspeak!].

i teach english to koreans, but only man-to-man teaching because, personally, i dont find online teaching satisfying...

no offense meant to those into online teaching, but i think it's more of business rather than dedication... it's still a lot different when you want to go into teaching as a career rather than a source of income... the search for fulfillment is there... you really want to see that there is a progress in your students... you want to be able to identify their needs and try to address them as efficiently as possible...  based on an orientation i attended, sa online teaching, it's a hit and miss thing... you call your student, and good if he/she is available at that time, and you have to meet a certain quota of number of students you were able to talk to...

i have had several korean students who tried to learn thru online teaching, and they did it for a good number of months... yet, their vocabulary, diction, intonation, etc, are no better than kids just starting to learn the language... my students usually stay for 1 month, 3 months the most, and while they arrived with very bad communication skills, they leave with a certain flair in their speech as if they went thru first grade to fourth year high school in only a few months...

for those thinking of teaching ESL, esp to Koreans, just remember that they need it badly... for most of us who find English as natural as a second language, for Koreans, it's a need to boost their status in the community and in the country... getting in an English High School is like their ultimate goal.. it's like getting into Phil Science or the like...

accdg to my Korean friend, students who get into the Eng HS are, most of the time, assured of getting scholarships to the college of their choice... that's why even poor families save up to be able to send their kids to the Phils to study english, just so they can qualify to study in an EHS, and go to college... i had a student whose father is one of the top honchos in Samsung Korea, and they are rich... but she had to study english so she can get into an EHS, and not make her family ashamed of her... ganun yung pressure for them to be able to speak in English...
