Babasahin mo lang siya as is.

Anyway mga ilang sessions kaya for the average person before he converse in french?

by first module, i mean the first book ha... that's 3 sessions of semi-intensive. ok naman self-study e, basta pag pronunciation kalimutan mo muna lahat(yung mga joke na naririnig mo na pagpronounce), para di ka maguluhan.

^ sis Leyn, yup in USD yun.

They have three levels: breakthrough, waystage at threshold/vantage level. (books required forum 1, 2 ,3 respectively) eto ang breakdown.

a.)Semi-intensive (S.I) : 6hrs/week in 8 weeks per module. There are 11 S.I. modules.

b.)Regular (Reg): 4hrs/week in 8 weeks per module. There are 17 Reg Modules.

c.)Extensive (ext): 3hrs/week in 8 weeks per module. There are 22 Ext modules.

@ sis Heiressalex, are you currently on Level 4 french?

So far, whenever I watch TV5 Asie, I can barely follow what they are saying, well except if there's a french subtitle at the bottom. Dun ako mahina, french listening skills pero pag naka sulat nakukuha ko sya kahit papaano.

Thanks, I think I get an idea. We're using the "Alter Ego" books/set though and not the forum...? Haha, medyo confusing pa rin. :P But thanks, that was still helpful! :)

i'm thinking of taking up French classes din kaso i'm pressed for time now.  Hindi ko mayos ayos schedule ko.

Do any of you know of a good self help books for studying the language?

kailangan naririnig talaga yung tamang pronunciation kasi pag naka-spell lang mahirap talaga makuha.

I'm currently enrolled in Module 1 and finding it pretty difficult. Does anyone have the Alter Ego books? I'm finding the books too expensive and I'm not really serious into learning French. I'm still deciding to buy the books or not.. 2k kasi. Sayang yung pera.

Or if anyone could lend me the books for the meantime, I'd really appreciate it. Hahanapin ko pa ang bahay mo if ever.

^ I'm currently in Module (A)1 too, using those books. I think it's a requirement cause every session we use and depend heavily on the 2 books. Are you studying at Alliance? If so, they allowed you to enroll without purchasing the books?

Btw, if you aren't too serious about or committed to it, personally I don't think it was wise to spend on it in the first place. These things take lots of effort, time and determination as you probably noticed. :P ;D

If you're taking it up in Alliance, what's your sched? :)
