Is this normal for kids sports activities?

So my son started flag football this year?. And I see an overwhelming amount of parents with Yetis or some sort of reusable tumblers (including the little stemless wine glass ones if you know what I?m talking about).

I?m totally speculating here but I don?t think many of those cups have coffee or water in them? especially since I heard an 11 or 12 year old girl say ?omg my mom is so embarrassing she?s so drunk right now? to her friend.

Is this a normal occurrence at children?s sports games?? My son has done basketball and baseball before but I?ve never noticed this.. is it a football thing??
