I dream of a nice kitchen too.

I tried searching online for those pull out cabinet shelves similar to the ones in Oakwood. I'm just curious magkakanu kaya yung ganun? Sarap lang mangarap. hehe..

thanks sis aquacharly! :) What brand of range hood (exhaust type ) is good? Any recommendations? Is La Germania good? What about range hood installation? And the air out hole in the wall? Sino gumawa nun for your kitchen, sis?  How much kaya ang range ng prices for exhaust type range hoods?

Sorry too many questions. And, eto pa pala, yung LPG mo sis, is it located in your kitchen under a cabinet? Or, outside your house? Kasi, currently outside yung sa min coz our stove is outside rin (dirty kitchen type kasi kami now). But, for the new kitchen, I don't want a dirty kitchen na muna. Gusto ko inside naman for a change.

For granite, where did you get yours sis?

Hope you can help me. Thanks! :)

MERRYKEI:  Personally, "no" to La Germania hoods.
There are a lot of US/Euro brands available. Choose 1 with service facilities here.

Go look at models  yourself. You gotta love its  looks, you will see it daily. :)
So don't just go calling and canvassing --  go look.
Compare not just by looks though; but compare in terms of "power"/capacity.
Read the installation manual for installation requirements BEFORE you purchase.
That way --you minimize obstacles to installation, & get a better fit of hood to your kitchen area.
Measure distances accurately.

Installation of the hood in my kitchen required the supervision of our mechanical and electrical engineers.
Kasi, we went over the model-prescribed 5meter distance from hood to wall exhaust exit.  So, an exhaust fan was installed to assist the hood's exhaust fan push the fumes out.  (The space designated for the service kitchen's exhaust hood fit into the installation requirements, so it's installation was simple & straightforward.)
When you purchase, get the installer short-listed/accredited by the hood supplier.

My husband had this house we live in now --  designed to have a partially open basement level.  So, our side gate opens to a driveway that leads to an underground garage.  All utility rooms/areas & house staff rooms/quarters are on that level.  1 room built like a bunker on that level --- with no windows (no sunlight, always cold), but has a grill door for ventilation --  contains the water pump &  tall 4 LPG tanks. Now, my kitchen is on top of that bunker; our service (not dirty, hehe) kitchen is a structure a few meters away, separate from the house.  So,  the LPG is piped though walls to the 2 kitchens (1 tank per kitchen & 1 reserve tank per = 4).

It is advisable to have 2 kitchens.   Both my kitchens are fully equipped (of course, mine has the higher-end  stuff, hehe).
My own/family kitchen --- ako lang gumagamit. My stuff are all stainless &/or black -- so madali ma check if the help disobey my order that none of my stuff is used in  the service kitchen.  I do not cook long-cooking/malansa/strong-smelling/deep frying  dishes in my kitchen coz it is in our daily dining room.
I also do not like help loitering in our house. So aside from the heavy-duty cooking in the service kitchen.. That is where the househelp eat,  watch tv, loiter around. :D
My 5yo  daughter then complained: why do you call it "dirty", why don't you keep it clean?  Pwes, we call it the "service" kitchen, ever since. :)

We purchased our granite from  Italy and China -- but all are Italian granite. Really big slabs, cut on-site here at the yard.  Very few local installers are good. We used the installer of Ramon Antonio.

I never really was a kitchen person and I don't cook (much) anyway... but I must say that I'm in love with our new place's kitchen. Best one we've ever had so far. It's spacious and inviting. Lots of storage space too. :)  Photos HERE.

See what you can use, yun lang buy mo sa Howard's.
Measure well. Though Howard's has a return policy :).

I have my top/above counter cabinets see-thru; below counter total wood fronts.

I use only glass shelving with those "invisible pegs" for see-thru cabinets.
Under counter na fully wood cabinet covers --  I use those very functional shelving, etc  sold at Howard's/Make Room/Container Store.

But Howard's is my favorite. Most items carried by Container Store  in the US are  there -- at friendlier prices!

malapit na matapos pinapagawa naming house, so start na kami mag-scout ng gagawa ng kitchen namin, dito talaga ako super excited coz ever since, dream ko na magkaron ng magandang kitchen..so yesterday, we visited this showroom..grabe super ganda their featured kitchens, my husband and I fell in love sa gawa nila, sobrang seamless, pulido, as in super ganda.. buuuuttt, muntik na ako himatayin sa presyo...tumataginting na 1.3M pesosesoses LOL although aside from the cabinets, kasama na daw sa price some appliances (hob, oven lang naman ata)..the countertop is made of quartz na mas type ko kesa granite (mas ok ata based on reviews na nabasa ko)..sabi nung agent around 30% more expensive than granite, but nonporous, more durable etc...sa presyo na yan di pa daw included those metal organizers, trays, add-on pa daw yun ngek..sabi namin ni hubby, sa sobrang ganda nya, di ko na gugustuhing magluto, gamitin o madumihan, pang-showcase na lang daw LOL...sabi ko kay hubby, kahit man lang sana half lang nun ang presyo nya para mas makatarungan naman, then go ako...oras na para tumaya sa lotto  ;D ;D
