Best room/house deodorizers/fresheners

bumping this thread. (ang dami kong bina bump na thread.lol)

i have a 2-year old son born with congenital anomalies and is prone to pnuemonia. so i've been constantly looking for ways to do away with synthetic products.dati lysol spray ginagamit namin. but i read na a blend of essential oils can be just as good sans the chemicals.

i love scented candles. pero kasi the ones that are made of natural wax are pricy. so nag isip ako kung ano pwedeng alternative. and i came up with oil candle.

here's what you need

wide-mouth mason jar - i used Ball for this since thick yung glass nya and i wont worry about it breaking kapag mainit na
floating candle wicks -
coconut oil (it's okay if it's not extra virgin)
for essential oils, i used
geranium
rosemary
lemon
vanilla
bergamot
eucalyptus

what i did was to fill the glass jar half full. then essential oils lang, no specific measurement, just according to your liking. and then the floating wick. wala masyadong available na floating wicks dito. i even looked online but cant find one so what we did was poke a whole in an unused bottle cap (pwede na yung vitamins ng kids na wala ng laman)  and just insert the wick.

the smell of the eo blend is parang nasa spa. sarap matulog.

^sis where do you buy your essentials oils? naghahanap kasi ako...yung mga nakikita ko sa mall at online feeling ko may halo...

-sa house namin, naglalagay lang ako sa dish ng arabica beans, then 2 sticks ng cinnamon, then isang vanilla candle...pag sinindihan ko na si candle ang sarap na ng amoy...amoy coffee shop heehe

-sa CR namin, I use dried eucalyptus leaves, isang bunch nabili ko sa Farmers Market, sa mga florists dun...bango naman....

hi sis. sa healthy options, aura cacia brand. mejo cheaper sya compared sa other brands pero if napapa hoard ka, mahal pa din. actually, nag order ako sa shopee, kadarating lang kanina. i tried them out agad. mejo ok naman scents nila hindi naman amoy synthetic. bonus is i can get a 10 ml bottle for around 200 lang so maybe carry na. nakalimutan ko lang yung name ng seller.

i havent tried yung dried leaves. maghahanap din ako sa farmers market ngayong weekend. if you have dried leaves sis, you can actually try smudging (hindi ko po to na try but i read about it and if may materials ako i will). itatali mo lang yung mga dried aromatherapy plants mo together and sisindihan. yung parang incense na ginagawa sa churh. here's a link for you.

^sis, may nabasa ako  ganyan, pero sa mga bay leaves naman, konti lang ibu-burn parang incense...pampa good vibes din daw aside sa pampabango...

Recently went to Bath & Body Works. Bought their new Gingham line para sa washroom namin (hand wash, lotion and small spray). Sabi ng bunso ko para daw kaming nasa hotel.
Doon naman sa powder room, naglagay lang ako nung tig-$1 gel air freshener Renuzit Scent swirls (vanilla apricot blossom and almond) ang bango. Tapos inuubos pa din yung warm vanilla sugar line doon, and may natitira pa na spray Mad About You. Yun yung ginagamit na spray after dumumi 😆 pag naubos na yun babalik ako ulit sa BBW.

kahapon bumili husband ko ng water based for air freshener. mia maison gusto ko sana fresh bamboo kasi binili un white ginger tea.. mabango naman amoy shangrila hotel..

How much? And gaano tumatagal?

^I?m not based in Philippines sis. Now they have 5 for $35 or 3 for $26.
Gaano tumatagal? Since we bought it last November, andyan pa rin hindi pa nauubos yung hand wash, spray at lotion. Foam yung lumalabas sa hand wash.
Yung Renuzit, $1, ubos na.  1month din tumagal kaya bumili ulit ako ng bago.

I always use my burner with lavender oil.

Every 2 to 4 weeks, I ask my maid to use uv sterilizer so sanitize my room.  So far ok naman ang rooms namin sa house.  Yearly, it would also be nice to wash the duvets, comforters and the pillows.
