In-laws becoming your parents, too

^ahaha onga no, confusing. Kami magkaiba tawag eh I call my parents Inay at Tatay, tas he calls his Mama at Papa. Kaya mas convenient, hehe.

Pero nakakatuwamg isipin na may 2 sets of parents na tayo, hehe

nahirapan din ako mag-adjust calling my inlaws mommy/daddy. nahihiya kasi ako. mabait naman sila saken and spoiled nga ako sakanila. recently lang ako nagstart tawagin sila mommy/daddy. haha
we just got married ni hubby last March. 

3 weeks ago ata un nung umuwi kami sa province nila, tapos si MIL and her sister napag-usapan na tita pa rin tawag ko sakanya. nagcomment tuloy sila ng pabiro na kaya daw ayaw ko siyang tawagin na mommy kasi ayaw ko daw sila maging biyenan. kaya simula nun tinawag ko na silang mommy/daddy.

kinwento nga saken ni hubby na nung tinawag kong mommy si MIL, tuwang tuwa daw siya dahil finally may anak na daw siyang babae (All boys kasi sila) hehe

Ideally, it should be like that. Your in-laws becoming your parents too...
However, in my case, wala pa ko sa stage na iyan. Though I also call them mama and papa, hindi ko pa rin sila maituturing same with my own parents. When talking about them, I still refer to them as parents ni hubby.

Hubby and i still address each other's parents as tito and tita. We were together for 10years as boyfriend and girfriend; married for 3 years kaya siguro ang hirap tawagin yung inlaws na mama and papa. We'll get there soon.

^i feel you sis. tito at tita pa din tawag ko sa parent ni hubby. tapos parents ni hubby pag kwento ko sa mga friends ko. i'm okay with the set up. we're not really close.
