anyone meron ganito? iyong mag ama ko kasi ganito lalung lalo na si hubby...haching ng haching...

ano iniinum ninyo pag ganoon?

Hi Sis, mukhang ako ang makaksagot sayo.
Meron ako niyan at ang hirap. Trial and error sa mga gamot noon at ang hirap minsan isipin kung allergic rhinitis pa ba or common cold lang.  Buti nga magaling na yun ENT ko now, kasi magaganda mga binibigay nya at talagang sa kanya na ko nagpaalaga.

I have Nasal Spray + Anti-histamine. Pero Ginagamit ko lang sila pag sinabi ng doctor. Minsan nga lang, talagang nagOTC na ko, kasi usually, pag tapos ko sundin at ubusin ang nireseta ng doctor, after like 2-weeks babalik nanaman ang congested na nose 

If super barado, nirereseta sakin Nasattap na tablet 3x a day sya. Pero Maganda pa rin i-consult muna sa doctor sis esp para sa anak mo

Madami na kasi ako natry na gamot, pero infairness parang nasattap yun mabisa sa knila lahat

This runs in our family! my father and his siblings meron... Kaming magkakapatid ganyan din.

Napapansin ko mas umaatake ito sa akin if napasobra ng kain ng sweets.  Tatay ko ganyan din.  Kaya siguro kami ng brother ko nawalan ng hilig sa sweets kase dito sa condition namin hehe.

It usually comes in the morning pagkagising na pagkagising.  Minsan sa office din umaatake, sneeze ako ng sneeze.  Pero sa tanghali hanggang hapon nawawala na sya.

I don't take any meds, as much as possible hanggat kaya ko hindi ako naggagamot.  Pag yung nakakaaffect na sa work ko dyan lang ako iinom ng gamot.  Ganun din kapatid ko.

Kaya maitutulong ko lang sa yo is to observe baka same sila sa amin na kapag sobra sa sweets mas umaatake sya.

Present! Problem with allergic rhinitis is pabalik balik talaga sya everytime you get exposed to allergen (pwedeng pollen, dust, etc) so forever na dapat ready ang mga sprays ko in my dresser at dala ko pati kahit magtravel kami out of town.

My doctor prescribed 2 nasal sprays:
1. Sterimar "Nasal Hygiene" (Isotonic) - I can use this as often as needed. It says seawater microdiffusion in front but don't exactly know what that means. The doctor said to use it like a cleanser for the inside of the nose so I spray then blow my nose in a clean tissue.
2. Avamys Suspension for Nasal Spray Corticosteroid (Fluticasonr furoate) - This should only be used once a day. What I do is use the Sterimar first then this one naman but for this I do not blow my nose na. After one or two sprays, I'll look up to hold the medication in.

So far hindi ko pa naman kinailangan ng any oral medication. Been using these two combinations for almost two years now. Dati tumatagal talaga ng more or less 1 week yung akala kong common colds lang but since the doctor diagnosed that I have allergic rhinitis and told me to use these, one or two days at the most ok na ko

I have this!  Minana sa father side ko. Sobrang hirap pag inaatake tapos sira talaga mood/araw mo. I take Xyzal 2x a day. Pero better check with your doctor first. As for me, eto na pinaka effective na gamot for my allergies.

Sa EENT ba nagpapatingin kapag madalas inaallergy at walang tigil ang haching? Kasi 25 years na kong ganito at minsan na lang gumana ang Claritin sakin, haha.

me too, i have allergic rhinitis. ang hirap hirap. lalo na ngayon, preggy ako, eh isa din sa symptoms yung pregnancy rhinitis. kaya katakot takot na aching ang nanyayari sakin. Ekkk!

it runs in the family, dati super grabe ang allergic rhinitis ko like every morning, nakatulong ang supplements sakin, kaya boost your immune system mga sis, pag di na kaya ng powers ko, i take zyrtec or cetirizine or allerta. As much as possible ayokong masanay uminom ng gamot kasi

Meron din ako nito. Too bad, ako lang meron sa family. feeling ko nga yung ilong ko di na pantay kaka kuskos eh.

Kailan ko lang to na pa check sa Dr. Binigyan niya ko ng oral intake at nasal spray. Kaso naitapon ko yung reseta. Kaya no idea ako kung ano dapat bilhin. Lamig pa naman ng panahon kaya umaatake nanaman. Worry ko is yung baby ko nahawa na rin sakin haching ng haching tapos may sipon na rin.

Meron din ako nito, mas grabe kapag change of weather. Nangiingitim na nga ilalim ng mata ko eh yung tinatawag na allergic shiner.. Also, nattriggerd in minsan asthma ko kapag malala na siya at hindi nako makahinga. Btw nakapagpatingin nako sa allergologist nito lang din january.. May mga bawal daws atin na nakakapagtrigger ng rhinitis:

1. Chocolates and sweets.. I forgot what he explained but there's something in them that triggers the attack.
2. Citrus fruits- same as chocolates but im actually surprised with this since they are usualy recommended for colds though hindi naman colds ang rhinitis.
3. Of course the other things that trigger rhinitis is pet dander, dust, smoke and strong smelling perfumes.

The bad news is that it cannot be cured, EVER, daw, maaring mawala if you are in a different environment (like me, when i stay in provinces with fresh air, i don't get rhinitits) but don't expect it to go away.

The other bad news is that it is inherited so when you have a kid, there's a 50% chanced aw that he/she'll get it from you too. Mas mataas ang chance na mamana kapag yung napangasawa mo eh meron din allergies..

Ang mga nirereseta daw for allergic rhinitis is just to CONTROL IT, not, TREAT it. So there you go, btw he says he doesn't prescribe sprays, oral lagi para panglahatan na and mas hassle daw ang spray.

Hindi ko pa nabibili yung reseta niya kasi laging oos but i was told to take it for 14 weeks ngayong malala nanaman siya then stop.. Take na lang ulit as needed kapag umatake

it's an allergy kasi sis, so it will persist for life more or less, there'll be long periods without it but it will come back as well. it's the same type of Hypersensitivity reaction as asthma. i also suffer from this. kala ko nga nawala na siya tuluyan kasi there's a long time na wala then boom it came back. exposure to allergens and resistensya was down.

so every now and then kailangan talaga magtake ng anti-histamine. but only take it pag may symptoms ha! we take antihistamine kasi the basophils (cell responsible for this) degranulates and release histamine that causes the signs and symptoms.

one usual complication is sinusitis, which i did have and that can actually progress to polyps formation. it's better to have a check up with your ENT para maview niya with nasal speculum dahil baka may polyps na. if a polyp is small and few then it can be managed by nasal sprays that contain corticosteroids to reduce the inflammation. if malala na they'll have to do surgery to extract the polyps or some other invasive procedure.

meron ako nito.. hassle. dami ko na natry treatment and meds. lagi ako naiimune. so now i just use benadryl na generic. diko marecall generic name. 50mg. seldom lang. pag lang super sama na ng pakiramdam ko. para di ako maimmune. effective pa naman kaso nakakatulog ako agad haha side effect

Ako din meron nito. Pabalik balik. Starts with barado ilong, tapos post nasal drip, then super kati na ng throat! non stop ubo, esp at night! Sa EENT ang punta ko lagi. Usually Antihistamine Alleva or Co-Alleva (mas grabe), sometimes may decongestant sa sipon, mucolytic  para sa phlegm, nasal spray din. Pag sobrang maga, may antibiotic narin! More tha 10 years na ako nakaka experience nito, Im sick & tired. I asked my EENT for permanent solution, sabi niya wala daw. Unless I get rid of allergens! Impossible! Allergic ako sa dust, pollen, cats & dogs.

I quit all my anti-histamines na (citerizine, loratidine, etc)
I started taking Quercetin, so far so good, more than 6 months na rin.
I have less clogged nose, less sneezes, less runny nose, no more drowsiness from medicine side effects.

Hi mga sis. Matagal na akong may prob sa sinusitis ko. But lately parang nalala siya and di na ako nakakahinga masyado. So nag search ako and stumbled upon nasal polyps. I have a feeling na ganito ang case but di pa ako nagpapacheck up. May kilala ba kayong magaling na ENT? Medical City or Asian Hospital sana. Or kahit san sa metro manila.

One of my friends told me that regular exercise helps daw.  Hindi sya mawawala, pero it will be more manageable daw. 

I've been back to a regular exercise routine since last week, medyo di na ako bahing ng bahing pag umaga, and lessen na rin yung clogged nose sa gabi.
