Need your advice, language barrier

My son turned 3 last October, he is moving with me in Manila for good this November.The challenge is hindi siya marunong magtagalog, he only knows our native language - "ilonggo" and a little bit of english words. What should I do, what kind of school can you advice na will help him learn to communicate well? At home I am now training him more of english words. Our setup before was, I work in Manila and just visit him monthly in our province (weekends) kaya hindi talaga na train ng maayos. (nagkulang din ako.. hayz)

What can you advice? Sociable naman siya, yun lang may language barrier. We are near Boni, Mandaluyong area, where should I start to take him?

I was able to talk to someone who works in this field before and what I remember this person saying was, "Establish the kids first language. If the kid is okay with the first language then you can teach him/her another language/languages."

I was talking to a friend of mine in SF last summer and her kid is currently experiencing this.  Because he lack 'words' to express himself, instead of him using words to ask for what he wants, he throws a tantrum, hit other kids at school, you name it. And he was not even 5 then. So this friend went to a doctor to have her kid assessed. The doctor said na iyon daw talaga pala ang problema ng mga Asians. Asians speak English and 1-2other languages or dialects. Which results to confusin daw ng mga bata.

Yung pinsan ko naman saka lang nagsalita nung past 3 na sya. But we talk to him in English. Nito na lang nila tinuturuan ng tagalog, ilokano, and mandarin.

ganyan din po nangyari samen..my daughter was 2 yrs old nung nagpunta kami ng Japan. my son naman was 6 yrs old noon.hindi naman gaano problema sa son ko kasi natuto din naman agad sya ng japanese.ang naapektuhan ay yung daughter ko. when she turned 3 years old, ipinasok namen sya sa daycare pero mas formal ito dahil tinuturuan talaga ang mga kids unlike sa ibang daycare na nood tv laro kain tulog lang. nakita ko talaga progress ng anak ko.exept sa pagsasalita nya.na shock yata sya na teka iba ang salita nila.hindi naman din kami gaano nagjajapanese dito sa bahay. hanggang naririnig na namen ang daughter ko na nagsasalita na rin pakonti konti ng japanese. alam namen delayed na sya pero thankful pa rin kami na she's learning na rin somehow...
sis kawen, bata pa naman anak mo matututo agad yan. start muna papanoodin sya mga english dvd tapos guide mo sya.kailangan tyaga lang.practice english lang sa bahay.tapos kung merong mga summer class for toddlers enroll mo sya.
