PERPETUAL SCHOOL IN BINAN LAGUNA

HI MOMMIES OF LAGUNA,
 
My family just moved in here in Binan, and the nearest school for us is Perpetual... do you have any idea about their teaching style? is it traditional or progressive method for Pre - school ?

My Daughter is turning 5 this June and before she's attending play school but all her play mates are mixed nationality...She learned a lot while playing... and i dont want her to be stressed out pag malayo masyado ang school...

if you have any suggestion I would appreciate it a lot...... THANX...

like you im relatively new in binan too, just transferred here last year and i faced the same dilemma... where to enroll my kids.. I know Perps is especially popular if your kid is in college and she will take nursing hay! but honestly I dont know if they're okay for grade school.. somebody suggests St. Michaels,  i read their website and it looks okay.   

I tried Colegio San Agustin Binan for my daughter, since they say its a nice school, but sad to say Im not impressed, as in, perhaps i really wanted something progressive.. which is a method of the school where my daughter came from, shes from  South Mansfield College, Muntinlupa... branch of Southville International School, and I really love the way they teach, kung di lang kami lumipat, dun pa rin sya. Anyway... Im seriously thinking of transferring my daughter to a new school... di ko alam kung san ang progressive schools dito eh.. I will try to check on La Consolacion College Binan, Alpha Angelicum and St. Michaels. Just tell me your reviews for Perps. Somebody mentions Sta. Catalina College -- pero parang di maganda ang facilities eh. Sana kung sino talaga may alam they can enlighten us. Wag lang La Salle Canlubang, sobra layo or Brent (di kaya ng budget)  Seriously... Im also looking for a nice, quality, progressive school in Binan.

Hi Cest La vie.... my daughter just finished her FREE SUMMER SCHOOL in  PERPETUAL BINAN...  so far i like the teachers and the way they teach and guide the kids....

One thing, i don' t like is they dont have play ground for my daughter  and not english environment for her... but the other good thing is the books they are using is quite ok.... so i decided to enroll her here...

Btw --- tuition is about Php 35,xxx ( PREP )  + 3,000 for books + Php 5xx for one set of uniform.

Hi, I have same dilemma I am new in Binan and searching for a good school for my daughter.
So far Alpha Angelicum is on top of my list.  Progressive type daw [textspeak!] teaching dun although medyo malayo kasi sa min eh.  They have school readiness this summer nga pala April 29 to May 10 for (3 to 5y/o). I really want my daughter to attend on that problem ko [textspeak!] maghahatid since I'm working. 

Please share more about schools nearby Binan. Thanks a lot.

Hi mga mommies! I'm actually new here @female network.
I saw this post and maybe I can help you decide.
My daughter is studying at La Consolacion, started there as K1 then this schoolyear K2 na sya.
So far okay naman since [textspeak!] na sa tuition fee ang swimming lesson sa PE nila pero my schedule lang ang swimming to accomodate all students...tuition is around 30k + books 2600 ata still depends sa level...

Every month may program yun nga lang every month my costume or gastos na babayaran pero nkakatuwa nman silang panoorin kc nailalabas nila talent nla and naaalis yung fear humarap sa mdaming tao... 

And what i like is the security sobrang strict, hndi ka talaga pwede pumasok sa loob without appointment para maiwasan na din ang gulo so i think safe ang kids mo. And what's new is the school are already cctv equip. If may bantay anak mo yaya or parents, they have tv sa may guard para malibang ka...so to sum-up ok nman cia...

We used to live in Binan, and I studied in La Consolacion College from Grade 2 to 4th year high school (batch 2000. One batch lower than Precious Quigaman who's also an alumni of the school. La lang nabanggit ko lang. ) I also had one year of pre-school/kinder studies there, kaya lang we had to transfer for a year sa Quezon with my lola since walang magaalaga sa min, and then we returned for Grade 2.

I just want to vouch for the quality of education in my alma mater. The teachers are good. The approach is traditional. The environment is very conducive to learning. They have a lot of extra-curricular activities so kahit traditional ang method, your kids will definitely enjoy their stay there. It's the kind of school din na you'd want to stay with 'til high school. And tama si sis jaianne15, very strict ang security doon. I don't know if one of the attendants there sa parking, si Mang Ruben, is still there, pero that guy is legendary --- legendary for strictness. Hindi ka talaga makakalabas ng walang sundo. Yun nga lang, like any Catholic educational institution, madami din extra gastos ---- pero ganun naman talga yata pag nagaaral.

Also, if what you're looking for is a small school environment naman, you can try Headstarter Workshop. Para syang playschool/preschool, small student-teacher ratio. Meron silang branch sa bayan ng Binan, and meron din sa loob ng Mercedes Homes Subdivision (malapit lang din sa La Co) . I personally know the owner, si Teacher Lina as we call her, she used to teach din in La Consolacion before (she was one of my teachers nung Kinder ako). My youngest brother studied preschool in Headstarter, and tutok na tutok ang mga teachers sa kanila so maganda ang study habits and mabilis ang comprehension ng mga bata. My cousin also teaches in this school. It's really worth checking out.

this school year will be my daughters 3rd yr @LaCo.. incoming gr.4 sya.. i admit meron din talagang pros dito kaya nga naka two years din kami.. pero yong super strict ang sec idk kasi sa pagkakaalam ko kahit wala ka appointment basta close kayo ni kuya guard pwede ka pumasok.. ako mismo na witness ko yan.. and isa pang kinaaasar ko, june ang pasukan pero ang sch id, nakukuha ng bata aug. or sept na.at nakakaloka, pag end of sch year obligado pa ang bata na i surrender ang ID eh sa totoo lang hassle yon ni hindi kami maka open acct sa bank kasi klangan ng id db tsaka sa lahat ng sch sila lang nakita kong ganon tapos pag klangan mo i request mo sa kanila makikita mo nakatambak lang sa isang sulok ga bundok na id!! tapos yeah kasama sa curriculum ng PE ang swimming at kasama sa extra fees yon but sad to say, last sch yr 1 time lang yata naka swim anak ko kasi sinabay nila repair ng swimming pool sa school year!! ang teachers pa nya nung gr 2 grabe walang diary so sa info notebook lang kami nag co communicate.. tapos very seldom sila sumagot.. ang kagandahan lang dito maganda talaga campus.. malinis.. at kahit ma delay minsan ng payment nakaka exam parin ang bata.. right now naghahanap ako ng ibang option for my daughter pero pag wala ako mahanap, baka dito parin bagsak namin!! isa pa palang issue dito ang school service.. hhaayyy wagas sa sakit sa ulo at puro kulorum!!

@gorgeous_mommie, sis gnun ba...actually di ko pa na-enroll ang daughter ko kinukuha ba ang ID, didn't know that...pwde nman ata ireklamo yung mga problems mo may prang parentsteachers meeting namn cla di ba. anyway [textspeak!] nmang perfect na school unless sa brent mo tlaga ipapasok hehe...
pero they can improve nman [textspeak!] if this can be brought up sa meeting. yung swimming nla mga nka 4 or 5 sessions naman cla...[textspeak!] hndi parereho...
actually sis dpat st.michael ko dn dpat ipapasok [textspeak!] daughter ko kaso nagdalawang isip ako kc malayo na samin...jubilation kc kmi.

Hay naku sis would you believe na even ang HASA walang magawa??? nagtaas nga sila ng 10% sa TF at 10% sa misc, nakiusap ang HASA officers na baka pwedeng wag sabay itaas kasi hirap ng buhay ngayon baka pwede deffered ang pagtaas kaso wala din silang nagawa.. alam ko to kasi kilala ko HASA officers personally!! muntik muntikan na nga sila mag bitiw as officers kaso iniisip din nila mga anak nila.. and yes kinukuha nila ID kaya what i did last sch year, after ng finals nila i declared the ID lost para lang mapirmahan ang clearance ng anak ko!! imagine i needed to lie pa kahit ayoko sana!!!

PS: and isipin mo sis 4-5 sessions lang din anak mo naka swim? well, thats better than once diba pero ilang week meron sa 10mos??? eh nung nag orientation kami noon ang sched ng swimming daw eh every thurs of the week.. ilang thursday ang dumaan sa 10 mos?? buti nalang talaga di nila kami napilit bumili ng swimsuit.. kasi lagi din walang size hehe..
im eyeing ST. MICHAEL.. good for you jubillation ka lang pala. eh kami dito pa sa may southwoods kaya mas malayo kami di hamak.. pero since along hiway ang SMCL parang accesible din sya kahit commute,.. im not sure yet kung dun na nga kami or kung lilipat nga kami.. sa totoo lang ang hirap maghanap ng sch nowadays tapos malapit na mag june.. pero pag iniisip ko cons, parang nacoconvince ako umalis dun.. isa pang sakit ng ulo ko eh sch service.. kung taga laco anak mo, im sure you are aware na wala talaga silang sariling service db? at mga kulorum talaga na jeep ang meron na kung makapag rate pa ubod ng mahal.. im paying ours 2800/mo kitam mas mahal pa sila sa monthly tf...
BTW i went to SMCL yesterday.. nothing fancy sa campus.. walang pool.. rooms ng GS eh hindi ac.. pero well ventilated sya and ang gate nila electronic yong may ID na sinaswipe like mrt... mukhang ok dito at hindi sila ganon ka expensive.. even uniforms di ka required na dun ipatahi.. pero sa kanila ka bibili tela at 60/yard.. im really considering this school now kaso wala din silang sch owned sch bus hhaayyy lets see...

nge sana pala nabsa ko eto bago ako lumipat ng la co kami naman galing alpha kaya lang ang problem naman doon walang facilities as in! taas na nga ng tuition fee di man lang mapalagyan ng bubong yung katapat na field nila...ayaw gumastos ng may-ari, minsan nga naabutan kami ng ulan habang may show, ala kanya-kanyang takbuhan mga nanonood....hay, ang hirap maghanap ng school dito sa parteng bayan ng binan....pag canossa naman mas mahal pa service kaysa monthly tuition

naisip ko narin yan sis eh. kaso uber sa mahal naman ang CSA and kung tutuusin sister schools lang sila ng laco kaya kung lilipat lang din kami at csa mag stay nalang sa laco sabi ni hubby.. kasi kung sa laco meron ng mga bratty kids what more sa csa..

^sis how about catholic school of pacita? looks promising  maganda na rin facilities atska gumagastos talaga yung may-ari na maging competitive yata yung school, academically and recreation.

Hay naku ang dilemma nating mga mommies... Im eyeing La Consolacion pa naman,  ako  I transferred my daughter from Colegio San Agustin to Sta Catalina College, because its a lot nearer, we're from St. Francis 7 and naawa rin ako, nahaggard sya ng todo sa sobrang layo, ang mahal ng service eh hindi rin naman ako ganon ka-impressed sa turo. I also enrolled my son in SCC for Kinder, Kaya lang now the more na I realized na hindi talaga maganda location, papasok na nga tapos hindi pa ganon kalinis yung way papunta sa mismong school, hindi rin maganda facilities, ni walang playground for the kids, and gusto ko xe instill nila to atleast speak English din, eh xe global na tayo ngayon diba?  Although much cheaper yung rate nila dito nasa 30-33K lang.

Our friend naman she transferred her Daughter to St. Michaels  from Sta Catalina pero sobrang sisi sya, its much worse daw than Sta Catalina, sa facilities, OO mas maganda, pero yung culture and values ng mga estudyante hindi daw. So inerase ko sa list ko, I also change my mind about Alpha Angelicum basing on what I read from the prev post... I visited the school,  shes right mahal na nga pero walang proper facilities, helpful talaga thread dito   

My daughter will turn Grade 7 and my son Grade 1 next school year. Here are the list of the schools I'm considering, importante ang accessibility/distance, cost of school service and TF.

1. Saint Augustine International School - Canlalay - If anybody can give me a feedback please kung talagang maganda ang turo dito and facilities including the TF.

2.Chair of St Peter School -- maganda daw basing on the threads here, how much kaya ang TF nito

3. Marie Margaret School

4. Casa del Nino

5. Amazing Grace School
