Did you bring your passport with you or hindi?

Sa mga madalas mag travel outside the country:

• dinadala niyo ba yung passport niyo with you kahit saan kayo magpunta kahit may hotel na kayo or
• iiwan niyo na lang sa hotel then keep it wherever you think is safe to hide.

Ano talaga dapat gawin mga ka GT, sorry sa tanong na medyo may pagka ignorante. Wala ako nakitang ganitong specific topic so sorry kung meron na. Salamat.

^hindi ako madalas magtravel sis pero kapag nagtatravel ako depende sa hotel kung tingin ko safe iwan ang passport o kaya yun country na pinuntahan ko walang risk na mag-inspect ng tourist docs ang authority kapag nasa public ako..may instance kasi nun nagtravel ako sa mainland china then sumakay kami ng friends ko sa public bus.may police na nag-inspect ng mga pasahero at tinignan mga ID/passport ng lahat ng nakasakay. Mayron daw kasi na pumupuslit lang from mainland to HK na walang proper docs..lahat nang walang mapakita pinapababa ng bus..so buti na lang nasabihan ako nun friend ko (na dun nagwowork) na dalhin lagi ang passport kahit san magpunta..
May instance naman sa SG ma 1st timer ako at guesthouse/dorm lang tinuluyan namin kasi sobrang mahal ng accommodations sa SG.kaya lagi ko dinadala ang passport ko kasi baka mawala kung iiwan ko sa room.

I sugesst sis na lagi mo dalhin ang passport mo kahit san ka magpunta kahit san ka mang country pa pupunta.kung mawala yun passport mo mahirapan ka makauwi..

^^That's a very good valid question. In my case depends on what my activity will be for the day. Kung shopping where I expect to avail of tax rebates I bring my passport. Kung purely pasyal lang, I leave it in my hotel's safe and bring any valid government issued ID like my driver's license. Though in Europe where we mostly rent an apartment, I take it with me since there are no safes where I can keep it.

dala ko din lagi. 1 time sa australia hindi ko dinala eh mag-dinner pala kami sa surf club. ayun, hindi ako nakapasok kasi need ng passport as valid ID. kaya mula non lagi ko na syang dala saan man ako pumunta

I always bring my passport kasi yun lang ang only valid ID that I can bring with me. Though I have gov't IDs like UMID and PRC, the thing is: recognized/accepted ba yun sa ibang country? So whether pasyal lang or shopping I always bring it with me, I put it sa area ng bag where I can easily access it when needed but also safe enough para di mahulog or makuha

i bring it with me all the time. this will sound medyo paranoid, pero i worry na baka biglang mag-kagulo or something. halimbawa di ba sa korea ngayon puro rally, etc. at least with my passport i can go straight to the embassy or the airport.   

and like mamasqueek said, kailangan sya for tax free shopping. i put my passport in a ziplock bag and then sa inner pocket ng bag ko. ziplock para sure na hindi mabasa in case tumapon yung water ko or if it rains.

the only time I do not bring my passport with me is when I go out na alam ko involving water sports/beach/ songkran in Thailand. I only bring a photocopy of my passport incase.

but if I go shopping, malling, etc.  I bring it with me, my mga malls or establishments kasi sometimes that they give access to foreigners when you present your passports e like free vouchers, free wifi access,etc.

My mom wants it left in the safe pero dinadala ko siya kapag ako lang ang nagta-travel. I find that sometimes they ask for it (like in Universal Studios Singapore, they asked me for my passport when I bought a ticket). I read in Japan it's in the law that foreigners should bring their passport always. Kapag nahuli ka, may fine ata.

I leave it in the room safe, always.
But I bring around always a copy of my passport info page, back-to back laminated with whatever visa for whatever country I am in.  So far, this hasn't been rejected anywhere.
