ABA versus speech and OT whats your point of view?.. some devped are bias with ABA why do you think here in Phils. still not all Devped are into it?....
is it really usually only ideally for a kid diagnose with ASD how about a kid with just a learning disability or delays?

ABA works effectively daw if it's consistent. If not, magiging sayang daw (as per Devped ito)

Hi Sis! My son does ABA 3 x a week, twice a week home session and then pag Saturday naman, sa center sya. That's 2 hours per session. He also does OT, once a week yun for 1 hour.

ABA kasi focuses on the kid's behavior and speech. For them, behaviors can be learned then they incorporate speech in the long run. They use reinforcement sa therapy or suhol or rewards. When my son was diagnosed with ASD when he was 1.7 years old, everyday ang ABA nya for 2 hours per session. The first few months were a struggle, iyak sya ng iyak kahit may reinforcement sya. Pero later on, naging okay naman. They started taking the reinforces out sa therapy nya. They also praise yung kid pag may nagagawang okay or pag nagawa yung task. ABA worked for my son. He is now 4 years old and katatapos lang nya ng Junior year sa pre-school. He can talk although not yung normal kid na nagkwento. He can tell you what he likes and wants, he does parallel play na with other kids and hindi na sya masyado nag tantrums. Although he is still every hyper active pero napag sasabihan naman. I hope this helps. Oh, hindi nag Speech ang son ko kasi di naman daw utal or bulol at saka sakop na naman ng ABA ang speech nya eh.

ABA daw kasi Gold standard for autism. Ang galing ng son mo sis. kakatuwa naman. inspiring..

Yup, ABA works talaga. Gusto ko pa nga dagdagan sessions ng anak ko. Baka mag add ako pag Monday sa bahay kasi parang tuitor na rin eh. hehe
