No contact, is this normal?
« on: July 30, 2015, 05:39:53 pm »
Hello guys and girls! I'm currently dating a guy whose finalizing his divorce, they have 1 son. He's been separated from his wife for more than a year now, the process took quite sometime since he's  working abroad and they still need to sell some assets, also in their country, they need to be separated for a year to be able to file for divorce.

We're dating for more than 3 months now, medyo new lang (he calls me his girlfriend btw), he's currently on vacation (to see his son and to finalized the divorce), but it's been 5 days na and no message from him, i normally send him 1 message a day (via whatsapp) which consist of good morning/good night, or have a great day kasi alam ko namang busy siya but i wanted to greet him and let him know im still here for him, normally he'll respond naman kahit late pero ngayon wala talaga, didn't message him for 3 days to give space (i know he's online kasi sa whatsapp makikita mo naman if online yung ka-chat mo), i message him again yesterday and today (both good morning text), still no response, he's online a while ago so medyo na-sad ako.

Is this normal? I like this guy a lot and he treat so well din kaya nga kahit alam kong complicated yung situation niya eh i tried pa rin to make this thing work. I know the process of divorce is difficult so I tried to understand (he's been honest about it, if di niya sinabi di ko naman malalaman, even his workmates don't know na meron siyang soon to be ex wife).

Should I let him go na lang? Kelangan ba niya ng space? I don't mind giving it to him pero bakit di man lang niya ako iinform? I'll appreciate if maging straight forward siya sa akin. Are most guys like that? Been through a difficult break-up in the past, been hurt so bad, even told myself no more dating for a while but then I met him. Di ko rin alam if kelan balik niya since open ticket yung binili niya.

---sis we are both based abroad (sorry there's an error and i can't reply)

Just a clarification, are you based abroad since you said he is processing his divorce? There is no divorce here in the Philippines so I assumed you are both based outside PH right? If not, then I guess he is working on his annulment. IMO, no contact for 3 days is not normal. I mean right now, communication is so easy, as long as you have a pc or a mobile- which I assume he has right? There are gazillion of ways to get in touch with you and it's not like you are living in the Dinasaur Era wherein it takes a couple of days, you know what I mean. Message him, send a text or call or whatever method you think would be faster for you to connect. Maybe he is having a tough time but if you are really important he will reply back as soon as he gets your sms.

Tama sis sa panahon ngayon medyo imposible na hindi magkaroon ng communication.
sa experience ko, if the guy is really into you gagawa ng paraan makausap o makita ka lang.
For now,  dedma ka na muna sis.
keep yourself busy .don't make him feel na hinahabol mo siya. 3 mos pa lang kayong dating .hilaw na hilaw pa. Baka searching pa rin siya at nakakita ng someone more interesting ..

Ako nga, sobrang busy at sunod sunod ang gawain sa sa ospital, di pa nakakapaglunch, (the very definition of busy) but i still manage to text my boyfie and all that stuffs. Yung iba din sobrang long distance but nakakapagcommunicate pa rin. So di ba sis?

I think something came up.

Para sakin, red flags na lahat. If I were in your shoes sis, I will slowly detach na myself and prepare for the worst.. Which may be he'll break up with you or leave you without any notice. Halata naman sis that something is going on.

Good thing 3 months palang kayo.. Not so much emotional investment nabigay. Malabo yan sis.. Don't keep your hopes up if I were you. Malaking chance na there's really no divorce happening, or that he might have changed his mind.

for me, it is not normal.. if may pinagdadaanan man sya because of the divorce process, then he should let u know and set your expectations na he just needs some time alone and process things on his own. hindi yung biglang no contact na agad.

i agree with what momentum says. if a guy wants you, he will find a way and will let u in the loop of what's going on.

hi sis, sorry di ako makapag post kaya natagalan reply ko.

he already send me a message, he apologize for the long silence since he's not feeling good emotionally, he mentioned that going back to his country is always hard and confusing, etc.
actually naiyak ako sa message niya since feeling ko talagang nahihirapan siya, nakakaawa talaga.
asked some person who's been through divorce din kasi, and sobrang hirap daw.
he's back here na pala, nung saturday pa (head kasi siya ng isang malaking project dito so di siya pwedeng mawala ng matagal) but di pa kami nagkita, and i don't think magkikita pa kami, i know kahit like ko siya, and even after a year of him being separated, he's not ready but i do wish him the best. he's a good guy.

if ever magkita kayo uli TS nun guy i would suggest wag ka masyado ma fall sa guy. just enjoy lang muna yung company nya. till when? hanggang di nya naayos yung mga dapat nya ayusin. hindi naman pwedeng makipagsabayan ka sa mga inaasikaso nya tingin ko hindi makakatulong yun. if you really like him at willing to wait ka make sure always available ka if kailangan ka nya but if sa tingin mo napaka unfair naman yun on your part siguro you have to decide to let him go na talaga at mag focus sa future mo ng hindi mo sya kasama.

thank you sis.

i can sense naging rebound ang peg sis...maybe for awhile he enjoyed the company or the constant messaging, tapos since he is still working on his divorce, maybe nagdadalawang isip pa siya whether to continue the thing with you, and maybe he also doesnt know how to tell you. these are facts lang na pwedeng makita namin based on your stories about him...
so yeah, better forget about him..am sure there's alot better someone out there who can love you and make you happy;)

Sis foreigner ba sya? Mas ok nga sis na inaayos nya muna sitwasyon nya before jump to next level kung ano man meron kayo 2 usually naman if galing ka sa break up/separation you want something na makakapagdivert ng attention mo. If ever na magkita or magka communication ulit kayo chill ka lang muna sis.

Don't get your hopes up. Marami pa siyang entanglements and mas mabuti para sayo na mag-focus sa ibang bagay at tao. Try dating other people. Don't waste your life waiting for him to realize your presence.
