PAINT or WALLPAPER?

the feature wall on our bedroom is also my favourite... we alternated metallic gold, matte black, glossy silver on a matte cream base. Tapos different widths lang. Exactly like the pic talaga It's just too bad we don't show our room to our guests so sayang ang hard work

im planning to diy our kids' rooms pero half wallpaper half paint sana na may wood wall molding in between. which do you think is better, yung wall paper nasa top ng wood molding or nasa bottom?

Plano naming i-renovate yung walls ng bedroom namin. I want to put shelves na nakakabit na sa wall. I have a lot of books kasi. Anyway, before the carpenter can do the work sa shelves, kailangan muna ayusin yung wall. Ang luma na kasi tingnan. May mga stains na mahirap tanggalin; ilang beses nang nilinis, walang effect pa rin. So, we have to have it worked on.

Dilemma namin is if ok ba na pinturahan lang yung wall? Gusto kasi ng husband ko paint and then some wallpaper. Which do you think is better? Baka puede din nga paint and then decal nalang ang ilagay? We just want the room to look and feel better. Syempre, walang effect naman kung super linis and well-arranged yung room pero ang dumi ng wall, di ba? Which one kaya nag better option?

We have a blank white wall in the living room. Matagal ko na sya gusto i-decorate kaya lang ayaw pa lumabaas yung artistic side ko (or maybe wala talaga ko nun hehe!) Pinagiisipan ko pa kung wallpaper, wall tiles or paint ipang dedecorate ko.

Wallpaper kasi iba ang dating ng wallpaper vs paint. If paint, after 1-2 yrs kita na ang dumi tapos kita pa cracks and imperfections ng wall. If wallpaper, nalilinis sya kapag vinyl. Wallpaper namin sa house is more than 5 yrs na maganda parin. I notice walls ng mga neighbors namin na naka-paint nakikita mga cracks tpos mabilis madumihan.

To those who decided to go with wallpaper, where did you buy it? and i suppose you paid them to install it too. I will definitely NEVER consider DIY. :p

I visited DM Wallpaper, may magaganda silang selection. Medyo naweirduhan lang ako sa office nila, sobrang liit, and medyo off ang location. P1500/vinyl roll, 5sqm ang area per roll. Installation is P300/roll, pero minimum P1800 sa installation (good for 6 rolls; so if less than 6 rolls ang ipapa-install mo, P1800 pa rin ang installation fee ma babayaran).

I also visited Studio Eleven, and OH MY, super mahal pala dun! Mga hotel yata and millionnaires ang clientele, hahaha! Nasa average P7000/roll, 5sqm ang area per roll. Installation is P450/roll.

Tumingin din ako sa Wilcon, very few choices and they couldn?t even refer a wallpaper installer, so ayaw ko. Umalis ako agad.

May mga nabasa ako dito sa thread about Shell Canvas and Sharp Canvas, pero di ko pa na-visit.

Share niyo naman sakin kung saan kayo kumuha ng wallpaper... para may actual feedback kung maayos ba pagkaka-install nila. Ang fear ko kasi is pag palpak installation tapos kitang-kita mo yung lines.
