Does anyone else have really bad luck with potatoes lately?

I understand that potatoes grow in the ground and are expected to be dirty and have some defects, but damn I?m not talking a slight green or occasional bump or sprout. Lately half the bag is deep bruises that need to be peeled away or literal crevices filled with grey/black mold. Even major brands that I?ve trusted in the past like Green Giant have been poor omegle xender . Thankfully I mostly make potato dishes where they need to be cut into like mashed, hashed, fries, etc? How the hell do people make a baked potato nowadays? Is it just a gamble that you?re going to bite into a mold pocket?
