Tipping Practices: When to give tips and how much

Do you experience getting tips from your client?

Very rarely! Mas madalas sa mga one-time client. Syempre kung regular client, they just offer a higher rate in general, which is even better.

But more often, they just round off to the nearest hundreds. I don't consider that a tip per se, but I appreciate it whenever it happens.

i often give tips especially if the service was super. i give tips on restos, salons, spa, grocery bagger etc. the amount depends on the service din minsan nman barya lang pag wala akong smaller notes. but i try my best to give every time.

yes, tips are important to the service industry.


20% of the bill (restaurants, hair salon, nail salon, food/pizza delivery, etc).


$20 each to the delivery people or installers of appliances and  furnitures.


for baggage handlers,  $5/bag.


for hotel housekeeping, $10/day.


if the service is really bad, then about half of the above should suffice.

kapag walang service charge nagbibigay ako ng tip, 100 or 50 but most of the time yung butal sa sukli iniiwan ko na and dadagdagan ko na lang kung halimbawang coins lang ang sukli, pero pagnainis ako walang dagdag

Most people I hang out with don't give tips, and they are the ones who can actually afford to give more.  I believe ang point nila may service charge naman and if you come to think of it, each of us offer service naman talaga, e di lahat tayo somehow dapat bigyan ng tip?

Do you give tips to cab drivers? i.e, taxi, grab etc?
nasanay lang ako na dagdagan yung meter bill ko but is it ok if wag na lang?

I rarely give tips sa restaurant pero ang nagbibigay ako ng tip is sa GrabFood and FoodPanda drivers...

I give tips to:

> facialist
> taxi / grab drivers

Sa restaurants, depende how big the service charge is. Minsan kase diba umaabot around 300-500 ang service charge. Pag the staff are really nice, nagbibigay paminsan mg dagdag.

I usually give sa
- massage therapists (100)
- facialist (100)
- food delivery (50)
- guards/parking attendants na polite and helpful (20-50)
