White folding chair and string lights

^rightback Hindi talaga bagay ang drapes sa tent, sis. In my opinion drapes should stay indoors where they belong. The usual tents na white are not super high-ceiling so if may drapes lalo lang masikip yung feeling...saka pag may drapes ka you cannot install string lights, walang sasabitan and baka masunog if the lights get too hot and come in contact with the drapes. Yan sabi nila sakin.

Not sure about the others here pero ako clear tent na dome-shaped (highest point is middle).. specs are 100 X 40 feet. It has trusses na pwedeng sabitan ng string lights and chandeliers. Nung time na we were still considering a white tent sabi ni Tent King walang sasabitan daw except yung gilid ng frame kaya super konting rounds lang (6 na zigzag lang ata pwede). Nakakatawa lang, nag string lights pa. We weren't happy with it at all and didnt book them. Until yun nga it worked out with Forscink and we got their truss arc tent. Last check ko 110k rate nila for this.

Hi rightback, I'm not planning on a tent at all -- just open air with globe lights and lots of hanging greenery. I prefer the way it looks with a clear tent rather than a white one, but I think pwede naman a white tent as long as it's nice and has a very high ceiling. A lot of tents can be cheap-looking kasi.

Also works with fairy lights, pero since the bulbs are small you need a lot more (cost-wise lalabas halos same lang---we chose bigger bulbs nalang). Si Heart nag fairy lights, ganda din ha. Here's a peg from Pinterest. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/403072235369193020/

^Swerte mo sevenstars, i prefer open too pero mandated ng caterer ang tent para in case umulan. Clear tent lang pag-asa ko hehe. Agree with you that most white tents locally look cheap. Saw firsthand yung kay Tentworld and Tent King, di ko talaga trip. Magkaiba pa shade ng white ng ceiling sa base! Isa super white isa offwhite. UGH.

Hi sevenstars! Thank you I can imagine how nice your reception with look na with the hanging greenery and lights. Unfortunately we didn't really have a choice with the tent. Either we get the white one or had to stay outdoors and we're not willing to gamble on the weather. Although I'm thinking of having hanging wooden wheels lined with greens and string lights. I'm not sure if it will work though.

^Sis we have the same idea. Buong reception area ko na clear tent, may string lights. We will use 900-1000 bulbs so that it really looks like the sky. Warning lang, it WILL cost you. Quote sakin is 55-60k just for that. Excluded pa dyan ang generator (12-25k [textspeak!]) since hindi na kakayanin ng venue power most likely yung ganito kadaming lights. Hope this helps.

rightback, I agree with sparklingjewel, you can definitely go for the string lights with your tent! And I think the wooden wheels with greenery would look gorgeous too. I'm obsessed with greenery though haha so medyo biased.

sparklingjewel, my backup plan is a clear tent din -- the company that's doing my lighting has a nice one that looks like a greenhouse hehe. Hopefully I won't need it though; I picked the driest month of the year for my destination. Fingers crossed!

^rightback Meron nga daw si K pero alam ko konti lang and depende sa kung may pag gagamitan silang ibang wedding. They have kasi they sometimes use it on couples backdrops. Ilang bulbs 200m? Parang mahal ng 20k ah... Mine was 60k lang 1000 bulbs

DIY guide from our experience
- use 16 guage wire - 32 meters long - that will be 105 feet P19-25 per meter
- attach weather resistant 50 pigtail light bulb sockets each strand every 2 feet - the safe limit P25 - P35 each
- attach plug at the end P40 each
- solder iron every electric wire connection because it will get really heavy later on and it will loose connection during transports. Use mask and avoid enhaling the lead fumes.
- use rubber tape for added weather resistance. You want your string lights to be foul weather ready.
- use clear incandescent 25watts bulbs. P32 for 2 at ace. - do not throw away the packs, it will serve as your container after your event.

Measure the distance of the nearest wall plug to your venue. Diy another wire extension to reach you string light strand. The strand will get heavy if you made the string light's tail longer to reach wall plugs.
Then repeat for additional strands.
You will need at least 6 strands (300 bulbs) to cover a 400 square meter venue to get the desired (festival look) effect.
Use 2×2 wood and paint it for poles
Buy a crimper for stripping the wire. Buy loose pliers so it will be easy on your hands. Use cloth gloves to protect your hands.

We rented or string lights from Arthus refered by our wedding coordinator Ms. Ycoy of La belle Fete.
I'm a DIY guy. I made our loft bed, semi walkin closet and many more.
But my wife and I made a pack that peace of mind in our wedding day will be one of our main goal.
So we could pay attention to what matters most in our wedding and that will be our vows to each other and the experience of our love ones celebrating with us.
So we made to a point that we will rent or outsource as much as possible all our ideas. But be specific enough to get it just like in our imaginations. I did not want to worry about how the string lights will be hung.
Or will the lights fall over our guests heads. I don't want our wedding to be guineapig for a diy project. So if you have the time and you really want a peace of mind, stress test your diy string lights at least 6hours. Touch the wire if it's getting hot. Or if there are light bulbs not lighting.
Practice hanging it. or ask your catering supplier how much theyre going to charge to hang it for you. I remember we paid extra for the setup. That's it. Hope this helps.

^ nice one longjefferson  we were advised by a friend to DIY our string lights as well but I don't want to risk it. I can ask my fiance to do this but this may be time-consuming and I am not sure if this will be safe for the guests. But thanks for your suggestion, that is very helpful! If we only have the expertise, we will probably be doing the same 

Anyway, I asked Stylento (Purpledish's partner stylist) and they said they have it for 10k but since we are booked clients of PD, they'll be giving a 2k discount. Ok na kaya to mga sis? 200 bulbs daw gagamitin.
