Alcoholic Beverages

Hi all!! I cannot find any related thread here so I just created a new one

We decided to not get a mobile bar na since the quality of alcohol they use are just local brands but their rates are quite expensive. We'll also be having a coffee booth so baka sayang lang if we add another booth for the liquors. We decided to just buy liquor somewhere else and have our caterer serve it.

Now, I need some advice on what kind of alcoholic drinks are usually served on weddings nowadays? Yung simple mix lang and madali lang sana timplahin para hindi mahirapan si caterer. And not so expensive ha.
 
I need to consider the following:
- Male Principal Sponsors
- Female Principal Sponsors
- Male Guests
- Female Guests

Guests are mostly yuppies and love to drink!

Please suggest..

Aside from wine, you can also offer vodka, scotch then provide chasers like sprite and coke. You can also buy kegs of san mig beer.

We're serving wine & scotch. How many kaya should we buy? Given not everyone will drink.. Total number of guests, less kids then 2/3 or 3/4?

^Sa alam ko at least 1 bottle per table of 10-12, pero kng tingin nyo na madaming magppass siguro a little less than 3/4 the total number of tables siguro then have your waiters serve it nalang

@lyr3hs wala ako masuggest na brand kasi depende din yun sa preference niyo and year ng pagkakagawa e. Try nyo pumunta sa wine depot and look for a merlot kind red wine. Ask nyo din kung meron silang sample for taste testing, minsan meron kasi silang available so at least you would know:) As for champagne Asti Martini ang alam ko na ok

We will be having the wedding in the morning then hotel reception from 12nn, we have decided not to hire a mobile bar as well, kasi feeling namin masyado pa naman maaga to get drunk. Lol. we are considering wine din kaso medyo pricey since we have to purchase it from the hotel. Another option is beer kegs, but as of now we are likely to get beer kegs nalang. Medyo worried lang ako baka sabihin ng iba namin friends ang baduy namin. Hahah, but then again its a wedding naman, hinde naman kailangan ng basagan? 😂 What do you think mga sis?

meixin i read your tip to check out wine depot. i inquired with them regarding wine tasting, they have wine tasting pala only for the featured wines. Thanks for your tip

if we plan to have red wine (1 bottle for each table) and perhaps a few bottles of whisky, do you think mag allot pa kami ng beer? not planning the guests to get drunk though. naisip ko baka meron kasi non-wine drinker and more of a beer drinker? what do you think mga sis?

Opinion ko lang, you don't need to cater to everyone's preferences. I mean kung nagprovide ka na ng wine then may whiskey na din, I think enough na yun If you think mas madami beer drinkers then maybe forgo either the wine or the whiskey and have beer instead

^agree. It also depends on your reception & guests actually. If it's laid back & party vibe from the start then baka they'd expect alcohol. But it's formal and walang after party like ours, maintindihan na nila na for toasting lang whatever alcoholic bev. You're serving
