Custom Frames (Photos and Paintings)

I'm planning to frame several travel photos and canvass paintings, of varying sizes (range is from an 8R photo to a 4' x 5' painting). Leaning towards the wooden frames, but also open to wooden looking plastic frames for the photos.

What's your go-to place for custom frames and how much are the usual costs for these services? I plan to check out framing stores in malls but would like to know if you have a 'suki' store or two.
