we live in a building occupied by us, hubby's parents, brother/sister, cousins, uncles. so lahat na ng inlaws niya kasakasama ko at nakikita ko everyday. at first super hirap on my part kasi hindi talaga ako sanay na madaming tao and at the same time madaming nakikialam. imagine, kulit na kulit ka na sa parents ni hubby, dadagdag pa yung mga older cousins niya na hindi maiwasan makialam din. but i got used to it after being married for two years.

his mom, kahit super kulit at times, and pilit iniimpose yung old traditions nila (chinese) sa akin and sa baby ko, mabait naman and maalaga sakin. everytime she would go to ongpin to buy stuff, lagi siyang may dalang food for me and hubby. particularly my favorites. she would make sure i wouldnt feel left out and im well taken care off. kahit matanda na ko to be looked after at. i appreciate it. pero may times na walang preno din talaga. and pag napupuno na ko, i tell hubby my frustrations and siya kumakausap sa mom niya. in two years, i learned to choose/pick my battles. i know which ones to let go, and which ones to fight for.

father in law, the quiet one. i wont say na close kami but we're in good terms. hubby is the eldest kasi and first to get married, and the favored son, based on my observation. hehe. but hindi naman masyado nakikialam samin his dad. i would also like to think na he tries his best to make me feel part of the family. every time he goes abroad, he would buy pasalubongs for his daughter and me. not that "showy" like my MIL, but may effort naman.

BIL/SIL, we're not super close but we talk, go out once in a while. im lucky to have them. they treat me like their older sister talaga.

cousin/uncles/aunts, meron iba hindi maiiwasan na know it all talaga. especially after i gave birth. lahat may say sa baby ko. but again, natuto na ko. pasok/labas lang sa tenga. i know they mean well, but sometimes you have to draw the line na kaagad. para alam nila, they cant control me nor my baby. but pakikisama narin, since we're living in one same building, and relatives sila ni hubby. para wala naring masabi.

overall, my relationship with hubby's side of the family is good naman. may mga ups and downs but again, learn to choose your battles. kung pwede ideadma, then deadma nalang.

My sis in law (asawa ng kapatid ng asawa ko), she told me dati before kami lumipat sa apartment na hindi daw siya mag rent sa apartment kasi marami naman daw house for rent bakit daw siya mag tiyaga sa apartment, she said that last 7years ago nung bagong kasal pa lang kami ni hubby.

Now dun sila nagrent sa dating apartment na tinirhan namin ng 4years before kami lumipat sa own house namin..

I can say that I am blessed when it comes to in-laws!  MIL and [textspeak!] were both very thoughtful and kind to me.

My SIL and her husband, cousins-in-law and their spouses, titas-in-law, are all genuinely friendly.  I immediately felt welcome sa family reunion =)

Ever since feel ko naman na ayaw ng BIL and SIL ko sakin. mag bf palang kami ni hubby. Lagi akong compared kay ex ni hubby. Pinpractice ko lang talaga ang game face and no to nega attitude. :P wala narin silang magagawa kasi ako pinakasalan ng brother nila eh. hehe =)
