Breastmilk | Breastfeeding of an overseas working mom
« on: October 27, 2015, 10:16:53 pm »
Hi! I just want to ask for some tips and advices how to maintain my milk supply or kung paano na lumakas ulit un supply...

I gave birth last July and I was breastfeeding my baby not until I have to go back abroad. It's been a month na and recently napapansin ko na onti nalang un milk na na-eexpress ko  :( i have to leave baby sa Philippines para maayos namin ni hubby ang visa niya para makasama na namin siya (mahirap ang malayo sa newborn baby :( )

I am continuously pumping sa bahay and even sa office dahil sabi nga nila once you stopped hihina talaga yun supply. Twice na din ako nagbigay ng milk sa ibang mommies dahil overflowing na yun refrigerator namin. By November 2015 makakasama na namin si baby pero nakakasad naman kung wala na yun milk directly from me. :(

*Nag iwan ako ng stash ng breastmilk before ako umalis enough for a month and a half supply.

Thanks :)

Just keep on pumping sis. Look for FB groups of breastfeeding mums in the country where you reside tapos i-donate mo yung naunang expressed milk mo na nasa fridge para you will have plenty of room for fresh milk until dumating si baby. Or ask the hospitals / nurseries baka pala they ate looking for someone who can give excess milk.

Hi sis, are you a member of the Breastfeeding Pinays group on FB? If not, join ka sis. Super helpful support group siya :)

And keep on pumping lang sis. Kami kasi ni baby, direct latch but I have a friend who pumps milk for her baby and on schedule talaga, every 2-3 hours within the day, and consistent even through the night. She also takes malunggay supplements and adds malunggay powder to her food para nadin makahelp sa milk supply.
