Ang problema sa Pinas, kahit kaninong lawyer ka pa magpunta, sasabihin nila sayo is WALA pang lalaking nakulong dahil sa pambababae.
This. I have to find out, kung meron na ba talaga nakulong sa bigamy. Kasi when I consulted my lawyer some 4 years ago, wala pa. Sabi nga sakin, if I want to minimize my lawyer's fees, better just file nalang an annulment. Kung mag criminal case ka pa, katakot takot na oras and money ang kelangan mo gugulin. It is a lost case, if it is in the Phils because of its lousy laws and judicial system.
The problem with a case of bigamy or concubinage. - it's only the wife that can file this. Not even the aggrieved/neglected/abandoned legitimate children can file.
It isn't that no man has gone to jail yet, but that the wives don't have the strength or motivation, money, & /XOR time to see the filed cases to the end.
And... Most guilty men will offer the wife whatever it takes (or intimidate/shame her) to drop the case.
IMO, anger can fuel a wronged wife only so far. Eventually, our grinds-exceedingly-slow justice system defeats her. ... then she just decides to walk away, better to focus her energy, time & resources to moving on.
Mixed in there somewhere, the emo/cultural burden of hiya/humiliation . I can see why it's easier to go for annulment, or just to walk away.
That's why where as you say, there's effing around every corner -- Divorce may help us better manage our commitment responsibilities and put order into exit clauses.
GIRLTALKER2, tama ka -- it is easier to land a philanderer in jail for "falsified public document" (12 years in jail) than for bigamy or concubinage.

Ahh, if one is sooo lucky as to catch them in the act -- one should be prepared for seizing rare opportunities. Ano'ng caso-caso pa? Upakan mo na right there and there, end their lives. Hahaha. "Eh kasi, Judge, nandilim ang paningin ko... I blacked out... Etc etc". Crime of passion. "Not guilty!"

Teka, Teka.. My limited legal knowledge tells me: a married man can land in jail for 2 things: bigamy (another marriage contract), or concubinage ( binahay his gf/kab1tch).
So, yung kay Derek Ramsay & Angelica -- that's alleged concubinage?? as presented by his wife (hindi ex-wife kasi no annulment )

A man caught in such circumstances may say the wife is just after money. Haha well, why not? A wife always minds her children's future. Do you think she's after him as for himself? Who'd want a husband who prefers to be elsewhere? Love cannot be forced, of course. But paternal responsibilities can be forced.
