Hi mga sis, ask ko lang ano bang unlimited pass na ok sa amin kung magpupunta sa Zaanse schanse at Keukenhof? And yung may kasama na train to and from airport. We will stay in a hostel near Amsterdam Central. TIA!

^Try to google the Amsterdam Pass and Holland Pass. Check mo na lang what will be applicable to your itinerary.

I've been to Europe before and I'm planning to come back with my husband and daughter na. Siguro by December next year. Fingers crossed.

^you're welcome! The tickets you mentioned are purely for transpo right? If you want unli transpo (depends on the number of days/areas) and some or all attractions included you're best bet would still be either the Amsterdam or Holland Pass.

Hi mga sis! I was wondering if it is worth visiting Amsterdam (and neighboring cities/towns?) for a week? I don't have that much money to do a euro-trip talaga na 3 weeks and travel over land by train, so I was thinking of doing it one or two countries at a time for a week? Hehe.

My concern is if 1 week is enough or too much to do DIY tour na hindi Amazing Race ang peg.

Ang ganda sa Keukenhof! It's just an hour ride from Amsterdam! Must visit place talaga but during spring lang siya open..

^^ No, yung summer sa NL is usually 1-2 weeks lang. Eto yung temperature na above 32 degrees. In my close to 3 years here, parang highest temperature is 36 degC lang then 1-2 days lang yun, the rest, ang weather is in the 20s lang.   Kaya wala aircon sa most hotels (and homes) in NL is because bihira talaga na mainit dito, kahit ang summer season, comparatively malamig pa rin.  I think pwedeng magrequest ng electric fan sa hotel during summer.  Yun lang din panlaban ng mga locals dito kapag medyo mainit na :-)

Talking about Amsterdam, naiingit tuloy ako! We love Amsterdam! In case you need a place to stay there, I'll recommend the B&B where we stayed. It's Sunhead of 1617. Pinoy and Dutch ang owners.

 

Mama Squeak, do you have a recommendation for a family of 4 (husband, me and 2 kids)? I checked out this AirBnB and the posting stated accommodates 2 lang.

^unfortunately the owners have closed their B&B and are now retired in Cagayan de Oro. But there are still a lot of B&Bs there. Try to check Barangay B&B the owners are Pinoy. Or just do a search in airbnb and filter your results by adding 4 people.

^Thank you. We only have two nights in Amsterdam so I'd like to make the most out of the this trip. What areas should I look into na accessible sa public transpo and not too far from attractions? Ive read Jordaan or near the Amsterdam Central Station. Ok na ba to?

^if you stay in central Amsterdam you will be accessible to all the tourist attractions. The city is quite compact and the popular tourist sights are within a few minutes walk or ride. Their public transpo system is very good and user-friendly. Consideration nyo na lang is your budget.

That's great to know, Mama Squeak. Last leg na ng trip namin ang Amsterdam so I'm anticipating we won't have the same energy na maglibot-libot. Im sure my children will be over all the walking and traveling by the time makarating kami ng AMS. My older daughter though, (she's is pretty excited to see Anne Frank's house.

Hi GT buddies. First time in this thread. And excited also to travel. 🙂

Me and my friend will be having our vacay in amsterdam for 2 days lang. tight kasi ang schedule and tight din ang budget. Hahaha.  We will arrive on september 15. I checked thru airbnb and i found one accommodation in monnickendam. How far ba to sa center?

And im quite confused about the pass. How much ang pass and what are the inclusions? I read like theres a pass na included na ang canal cruise?

Visited Amsterdam for a day only last October 2017. A friend of mine accompanied me that's why I did not do much research on this city. Would love to revisit this again sometime.
