^ yes, there are many more brands that make the Rolex  look mediocre.  But it is just the Rolex under consideration.  IMO, it's the most easily recognized watch hereabouts.

'Obviously'? Not sure what lead you to that conclusion but If that's what you think that's fine. Like I said, just my personal opinion.
OT *edit: I just read your posts and now I understand where you're coming from.  Sorry you had that experience in the past.  I happen to have a special interest in time pieces (German, Swiss and the occ. Kickstarter Smart Watch project), beyond Rolex and Omegas.

Foot in the door, yes, a Rolex will do.

BUT to stay inside the big boys circle, you have to go low-profile. Frank Muller, Audemars Piguet, Hublot, Jaeger-Le Coultre etc =)

It goes without saying that Rolex is a respectable watch.  Pero I want something else now kasi it's already fairly common.  Most people have a Rolex or two na.
