Is he worth it?
« on: August 26, 2015, 04:23:06 pm »
I've been dating this guy for 9 months now. He's in Manila and I'm currently in the province studying. He's a single dad. Everything seems to be going well but recently parang naging cold sya. I talked to him about it and he said that he's just thinking about a lot of things lately, mostly about school expenses of his kid. Tinanong ko sya kung kelan kami magkikita ulit since for the past 9 months that we've been dating, we always try to at least see each other once or twice a month. But now yung answer nya is indefinite and he's saying that he's busy sa work and all.

To make the story short, parang I feel like he's pushing me away. I told him how I'm feeling and he told me that right now dating is not his priority. I asked him if he still likes me but he didn't answer. Whenever I ask him question about us, lagi nyang binabalik sakin yung tanong.

I like this guy so much but I'm just thinking if its worth holding on to him. What will you do if you're in my situation?

If I was in your situation sis, I would call him and ask him questions to know the real reason behind why he is acting that way. Sabihin mo sa kanya that you want him to keep it real with you kasi you would rather hear the harsh truth than be sugar coated with lies. Maganda na yung alam mo where you stand with him than be left hanging without any idea what the hell went wrong.

You asked him if he still likes you and he didn't answer, <-- that's your answer shielala.. Even if dating is not his priority right now he could've answer your question with a simple yes..

You ask me what I'd do if I were in your situation.

I will prioritize my studies.
I will mind my birth control well, if we were doing sex already.
I will observe his actions more; and not put much importance in his words, though these may be reassuring or hold out hope.

The real answers to your questions are answered by his actions.
If he fades away, let him go.  Do not give more of yourself away to someone who can't reciprocate.

Do not make excuses for his behavior towards you.
Do not ever rationalize that he has detached somewhat due to his responsibilities as a father. For if he loves you enough for the long-term, he will find a way to balance his fatherly obligations & his desire to be with you.

No he is not worth it. He has other priorities which you may not be able to understand.

Likely din Baka kasal pa sya, di mo lang alam. Let him be. Marami pa naman iba.

Dating is not his priority ergo you're not his priority.

I agree, focus on your studies na lang.

@Tomhansen. OMG napakinggan mo? Hehe. Yes ako yan.

Thanks sa inyo mga sis. Actually, halos same yung inadvise ni Mo sa mga sinabi nyo. I'm feeling better now and I think nakatulong din na nailabas ko to dito. I think its best for me to just focus on my goals and priorities first kesa intindihin ko pa sya. I know that he really, really likes me and siguro napraning lang ako masyado.

If he always makes you cry, then he is not worth it.

If I were in your situation girl, I would take a break from it. He said so himself na dating is not his priority. Instead, focus your attention on making the best version of yourself. :)

You both have different priorities. The man has a kid and you are studying. It might be true that his mind is really preoccupied lately leaving you unnoticed. OR he's not that into you anymore. I suggest to be upfront to him and tell him it's okay with you to tell him what he feels for you now. coz most of them are not good at breaking up with us.. BUT be sure you're ready to hear the truth, LET GO and always remember you will still meet a lot of people in your life.

Sis foreigner ba sya? Mas ok nga sis na inaayos nya muna sitwasyon nya before jump to next level kung ano man meron kayo 2 usually naman if galing ka sa break up/separation you want something na makakapagdivert ng attention mo. If ever na magkita or magka communication ulit kayo chill ka lang muna sis.
