Tips when going to travel expos

Hi Mga sis! I plan to go to the travel expo. But it will be my first time. Do you have any tips?? Pilahan ba talaga ito? If you have a destination and date in mind ba, mabilis lang? I really have no idea, so I hope someone can help!

Yes usually mahaba ang pila kasi agawan sa travel dates, so if may target date ka na better go really early, kung may exclusive passes like certain CC holders, mas okay para less tao.

I no longer go to expos for tickets, kasi kadalasan mas mura pa yung regular seat sales. I remember meron akong friend na nagbook ng flight to US sa expo, and I got the same price for the exact same flight via the airline's website around a month later (mas mura pa nga yata ng mga 300-500 pesos). Pero kung tour packages I think pwede, also visa fees, yung recent Japan namin we applied sa Universal Holidays, their regular visa rate is P1200, pero 500 lang sya sa expo. Sila pa nag advise sa amin to go to the expo to avail of the discounted rate.

1. Know beforehand what you really want. May target destination ka na ba? May target dates? If looking for accommodation, saang areas mo gusto? Tour packages ba? I usually do my research before going to expos to check prices if bought online. Baka kasi mamaya mas mura pa sa ibang channels like the airline website or Klook/kkday.

2. Set a budget. If the cost online is around a range that you're okay to settle, check it against how much it's sold sa expo whether mas makakamura ka or mas mapapamahal pa. For example, when I checked via Singapore Airlines website, ang regular economy nila to SG is around 200SGD (25k to 30k). Then sa last expo na inattendan ko, nabili ko lang sya ng 10k. Sobrang laking savings!

3. Do not impulse book. Hindi porket mura eh magbobook ka na. Isipin mo din kung kaya mo imeet yung expenses pag nagbook ka. Like in our case, we have a Japan travel this October and Singapore in Feb next year. Kahit nakapromo ang tours sa Japan for cherry blossom sa expo, hindi ako nagbook kasi may dalawang travels pa ko na dapat paghandaan. Be practical din.

1. For airline tickets, you can get it at the agencies for faster transaction tho may additional fees sila.
2. Think twice before purchasing tickets for Asian destination, usually mas mura pa ang seat sale online.
