Long Distance Grieving

How do you cope? In a sense it isnt as depressing, at the same time its almost like the distance keeps you away from reality. My Lolo died and I am having a hard time. Di naman makaka uwi kasi galing pa US and pag uwi tapos na din wake. Parang bipolar ako na iiyak when I talk to my cousins or when I see something online then back to normal. Iba pa din talaga yung may ritual na wake and burial to bid your loved one goodbye. And also to be with the family in time of grief. :(

Go to church, keep your thoughts quiet, and pray.

When our eldest brother passed away several months ago, hindi din makauwi younger sister ko. We went online on Skype every day and every night (we were both on leave from work). Grabe ang iyak nya, sobrang bigat sa dibdib. Naiiyak pa din ako pag naiisip ko how much she was hurting. But seeing family even online helped a lot. After we lost our brother, mas naging close kami kasi ulila na din kami. Stay connected with family members, sila yung pinakamakakaintindi sayo dahil you're going thru the same situation.
