January has been pretty rough, so allow yourself a bit of a breather this February by filing one of your first vacation leaves for the year.
The National Wages and Productivity Commission, an agency under the Department of Labor and Employment, posted a reminder that Tuesday, February 25 is the EDSA People Power Revolution anniversary. It's also a Special Non-Working Holiday, so you can technically create your own long weekend by filling your vacation leave on Monday, February 24.
If you’re already planning your leaves (or your overtime sessions) further into the year, then you may want to take note of April 9, which is Araw ng Kagitingan and Maundy Thursday. Yes, that’s two regular holidays in one day, which means that you can earn up to 300 percent of your daily wage rate.
Time to mark your calendars!
