According to Steve Gale, London head of workplace strategy at M Moser Associates, a Hong Kong-based architecture firm, the office of the future doesn’t just promote social interaction, but also encourages idea swapping, making each work day more productive.

While we’re waiting for the offices of the future, here are a few ways you can increase your productivity in the office,

Schedule all meetings in the afternoon.
According to The Personal MBA: Master the Art of Business author Josh Kaufman, penciling in the long conference room sessions in the afternoon allows you to concentrate on the essential work that only you can do in the morning.

Step up at work.
