There are some things in life we take for granted. For many of us, one example might be the regular arrival of our pay slips on the 15th and the 30th.

You heard that right. Many employees barely give a thought to this piece of paper. But to hear it from Susan S. Villaverde, our own corporate payroll manager here at Summit Magazine Publishing Inc., the pay slip is a treasure trove of information. According to her, this little piece of paper is "a source of valuable data that could have definite bearing on your financial peace of mind."

“People make mistakes,” Susan adds. “With pay slips, there’s always the possibility that you were overdeducted or under-credited.” You can’t rest easy even if your company’s payroll system is computerized. “Computers suffer system glitches too,” she says.

So what exactly should you look for in your pay slip? Take a look at the gallery below to find out!
