Aside from looking through photos of beautiful homes, there's nothing quite like getting a peak into cool offices—especially if it's a new Google HQ because you just know it's going to be topnotch. The tech titan has recently released renderings of their plans for their new Mountain View campus after swapping lots with LinkedIn late last year. Check it out below:
Designed around the idea of building a "destination for the local community," one of the most distinctive elements of Google Charleston East is the large canopy that regulates indoor climate, air quality and noise which helps create a peaceful environment for both employees and visitors.
Meanwhile, most of the ground level will be free for the public to enjoy from dawn to dusk. There will also be a pedestrian pathway that cuts through the building where a handful of restaurants and specialty shops would be built.
There will be countless open spaces, tooâincluding a plaza and nooks for quiet and intimate spaces for collaboration and private conversation. Last but definitely not the least, the new Googleplex extension will be dressed up with park areas called the Green Loop with bike paths around the perimeter for those who need to travel around campus.
The construction is slated to last for over two years upon approval by the Mountain View City Council. We still have a bit of waiting to do but we're very excited to see it come to life!
