Kathryn Bernardo is no stranger to running a business. Her nail spa Kathnails already has several outlets, and she just recently shared a new venture with boyfriend Daniel Padilla—a barbershop called Barbero Blues.
In Kathryn and Daniel's recent launch as Paymaya's endorsers (which is also the first time they've worked together since their hit film The Hows of Us), the actress admits that she's still learning the ropes.
"Kasi ang hirap ‘pag company," she shares, noting that her mother Luzviminda guided her through the process. "It’s a whole new world for us kasi iba ‘yong artista ka, tapos iba ‘pag pinasok mo ‘yong mundo na ‘to. Like what DJ said, bago pa lang kami rito and we are still learning. Basta ang importante naman ‘yong willing kang matuto."
She also highlighted the importance of being hyper-aware financially when running your own enterprise.
"Keep track sa mga gastos mo, kung ano ‘yong mga income na pumasok, ano ‘yong mga lumalabas. Kasi with business lahat ‘yan eh. Kahit piso yan, 10 pesos, lahat ‘yan nag-ma-matter. Kasi hindi lang iniisip mo rito kayo lang. Merong mga empleyado ka na may mga pamilya, so kailangan mo rin silang isipin.
"It’s very important na may record ka of everything. And dapat may plano. I’m still learning. I’m trying, kasi I’m just 23 turning 24… It’s part of adulting. Wala tayong kawala rito. We have to learn and importante na na-e-enjoy mo ‘yong proseso.
