Jennylyn Mercado knew she was taking a risk when she opened her spa-salon in 2015.

She named it Fit and Form Club, and her original idea was to subdivide the space into studios for Pilates, yoga, and zumba classes.

Iyon first idea namin,” Jennylyn told and YES! magazine back in 2015 during its soft opening. "Naisip namin na baka hindi pa mag-work, kasi iyong location namin mahirap puntahan."

The salon is in a three-story building on T. Gener Street in Kamuning, Quezon City. "Traffic iyong area, tapos iyong parking namin hindi masyadong marami."

With this mind, Jennylyn and her business partner, Christine Riley, thought of a different business approach—why not create a space that lets you de-stress from the city?

The partners then worked around the concept of a spa-salon club: a one-stop pampering hub for busy women.

The celebrity entrepreneur wanted the place to be relaxing and visually pleasing even if that entailed spending extra money.

Gusto ko lahat ng area puwede sila mag-picture. Relaxing tapos 'yong colors maganda, iyong lighting maganda, comfortable sila, ganon.”

Jennylyn had no choice but to have the entire area revamped, “Another gastos pero sige na, para matapos na tayo.

The renovation on the beauty and wellness club was finished in August 2016.

But aside from her three-story wellness center, the actress is a franchisee of the Elorde Quantum Fitness at UP Techno Hub.

She has also opened a coffee shop, Bean Leaf, on Timog Avenue, and is planning to launch a soap business.

It seems once Jennylyn gets going, she can't stop, risks and all.

She told back then, “Para sa akin, ayoko na nag-e-entertain ng takot, e.

“Ayoko nang nag-e-entertain ng, ‘A, baka ganito, baka ganyan,’ ayoko.”

Gusto ko nag-ri-risk kasi kapag hindi mo sinubukan, hindi mo na experience paghihinayang mo.

"Ayoko iyon, e. Parang, sige na, go! Ganon. Positive lang.”

In a recent interview with Jennylyn for the PEP Headliner shoot at the Cocoon Boutique Hotel, the actress-entrepreneur hinted at another business venture she could possibly get into.

She said, “Gusto ko maging chef! Ang hilig ko kasi magluto. Sobrang hilig ko mag-bake, magluto. So if ever mabigyan ako ng chance, mabigyan ako ng time, gusto ko mag culinary arts ako.”

But Jennylyn also revealed, “Isa-isa muna. Sa ngayon, mag-focus lang ako sa [current] business kasi kung puwede lang hatiin katawan ko sa anak ko, sa business, sa work ko, sa sarili ko… kung puwede lang. Focus muna ako.”
