If your job requires you to come in from Monday to Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., then it’s no wonder you’re starting to feel a bit burned out. Routine work does that to you. The best way to remedy that, aside from a well-deserved bonus and promotion, is by changing things up a little. Break the cycle! Here are a few of our suggestions:


1. Make use of your vacation leaves.
A new study shows that traveling is a great way to keep a positive and fresh outlook on life. Already have a destination in mind? Start making plans for your getaway. You’ll be surprised at how much more motivated you’ll be at work even before you actually leave town!

2. Treat your office BFF out for coffee and cake.
If you don’t have a lot of office backlog to work on, why not take a break with a friend? Chances are, she’s feeling just as jaded as you. Besides, stepping out of the office won’t just get you your much-needed coffee fix, it will also give your mind (and your eyes) a chance to rest.

3. Give your cubicle a makeover.
While there may not be much you can do to change the nature of your work, you can at least do something to make your work environment a little more conducive to productivity. Clear out all the clutter, and file all important documents out of sight. Add a few (emphasis on few) personalized items like a photo of your family, a small vision board, or an encouraging quote on your wall just to keep you going on days when your burnout is at its worst.
