Here's one less thing to worry about (relatively speaking): Tax payments for 2019 can be filed up until May 15 without penalties. Due to the "enhanced community quarantine," the Bureau of Internal Revenue has extended the annual April 15 deadline by a month to give people more time to file the necessary documents.

With government agencies down to a skeletal workforce and movement restricted to keep the COVID-19 disease at bay, filing for tax payments are sure to be far more difficult than it usually already is. Despite this, the Department of Finance is urging taxpayers to file as early as possible to "support fight vs. COVID-19."
