Anyone who has had a full-time job knows pretty well that the average workday never seems to be enough. However, if you learn to work smart, you can increase your productivity and get as many tasks ticked off on your to-do list as possible! Here, ways to stay ahead of the game.

Find the right person to work with.
They say that "two heads are better than one," and that may hold true, especially when it comes to completing projects. A task that you have to finish within three days can be done in three hours if you find the right person to pair up with. Make sure both of you have the same determination to finish the job, so that you can maximize the time you have together.

Take regular 15-minute breaks.
People tend to overwork just to meet their deadlines, but humans aren’t robots and you can only take so much stress. James Wilson, author of Adrenal Fatigue: The 21st Century Stress Syndrome explains that the adrenals (the gland that manages stress) are as small as a walnut. "It is their job to enable your body to deal with stress from every possible source, ranging from injury and disease to work and relationship problems. Your resiliency, energy, endurance and your very life all depend on their proper functioning." If you don’t take time to recharge, you may end up feeling exhausted and overworked. Aside from that, people who do not take regular breaks in between work are more prone to health risks.

Stay positive.
It all starts in the mind. Learn how to think positive and always try to look at the brighter side of the situation. If you have tons of things to accomplish before the end of the day, see them as challenges instead of grumbling about it.

Change your environment.
Tired of seeing the same, old view around you? Try re-arranging things around your desk or cubicle. This makes working feel new again–it can re-ignite your motivation, give you fresher ideas, and provide you with a newer perspective.

Turn off any form of distraction.
Most people think that multitasking can get things done faster, but in reality, it can slow you down. When you’re about to start on a task, set your phone on Do Not Disturb (DND) mode, log out of chat rooms, and close all tabs that are not related to work–and yes, that may include Facebook and Twitter! This lets you focus more on your work instead of other trivial matters.
