Okay, I just need to let this out.
There are so many things that I want to tell you right now, but before I can even grab my phone and send you that random text message like how I would before, I get that wrenching, sinking feeling at the pit of my stomach, as I get a mental note that things are different now.
You’re with someone else now. The girl who got the "girlfriend" title.
If you knew what’s in my head right now, perhaps you’d think I’m silly because to you we are still friends, so why would sending you a text message bother me so much?
Again, it’s just not like before anymore. Maybe I am overreacting, but all I know is that the heart feels what it wants to feel.
And to be very honest with you, it’s still hurting.
Now I understand what they say that it’s hard to stay friends with someone you have feelings for, let alone someone I’ve gotten too intimate with, both physically and emotionally.
It’s not that I couldn’t accept that we decided to keep it platonic after "dating" each other. It just feels overwhelming. You gave me so much to feel and remember, and now I don’t even know what to do with these feelings and memories anymore.
We both knew we had mutual feelings for each other but it didn’t work out for us. I guess we weren’t ready for each other. Maybe it was bad timing, like what you said.
Or maybe you’re just really not that into me.
Perhaps somewhere along the way, we got lost in translation, or maybe I was the only one who got lost in translation.
Anyway, whatever the reasons were, what’s done is done. You made your choice, and I can’t do anything about that now.
If you’ve noticed that I’m not keeping in touch as much anymore, it’s not because I hate you. I’m only doing what I have to do.
I know I have to keep moving forward. It just so happens that I’m running at a slower pace than you are. You may be faster than I am but when we meet again, I assure you I’ll be more than okay.
Miss Moving On
