I'm just a simple girl who fell in love and got hurt. I was too young when I thought I had already met the man of my life.
I loved him so much I almost gave up everything for him, my family and my whole life. I loved him enough to travel 12 hours from home just to see him for three hours. I loved him so much I gave him three chances to come back after cheating on me.
I was blinded with my love for him when you came.
Technology has changed lives. Pathetic as it may seem, but I met a guy from the other side of the world online. Let's call him Matt. At first, I just wanted a friend, wondering how Americans live, their thoughts, their beliefs. Then when my ex asked for another chance, I had the guts to turn him down. And it was all because you were there.
When I needed an ear to listen, even if it's almost midnight there, you would still find time to call. Words coming from you are like your arms wrapping around me, giving me warmth and comfort.
Talking with you for months made me scared. I’ve learned your idea of dating. So I decided to walk away, started ignoring your calls and messages. I was scared that I might have fallen for you hard and you're still in the stage of dating.
For two months, I ignored you, but you keep on bothering me. Until I gave up. I started talking to you again. I continued opening my heart and soul. I'm afraid, yes, too afraid for what's going to happen.
Then you came to pay a visit, and Jesus! God knows how happy you made me feel. It was all I ever wanted, to be loved and cared for the way you did.
You know I still have lots of things to do, lots of responsibilities to take care of. You're all ready to settle down. Thank you for offering to spend your life with me. Two different cultures, two different races, I'm so thankful for having you.
I can't wait to hug you tight and kiss you deep before we go to sleep. I can't wait to wake up in the morning with you beside me. I can't wait to hear you say I love you, and I’ll tell you how much I love you more.
Please be patient, love. I'll be with you there soon.
