Popular websites AskMen.com and Cosmopolitan.com recently released the results of their Great Male and Great Female surveys for 2011. The two sites questioned over 70,000 males and around the same amount of females in America, the UK, Australia, and Canada, to find out what makes the modern man and woman tick. The questions ranged from dating to sex to lifestyle. Their key findings show that men and women are more alike than they think. For example, both sexes seem to think that, to have a healthy sex life, couples should have sex multiple times a week. This was true for 78 percent of male respondents and 80 percent of the females.
Men and women alike would also be offended if their partners faked an orgasm with them during intercourse. Fifty-one percent of men and 63 percent of women said their displeasure would stem from not being able to please their partner. When asked whether they've ever faked one themselves, however, 54 percent of women revealed they've done so with 22 percent of them doing it "a number of times" and 32 percent at least once. In contrast, 70 percent of men said they've never faked it.
In terms of commitment, the majority of men (66 percent) and women (85 percent) said they believe in marriage. Both also said cheating violates their morals, and therefore, they would not be tempted to cheat even if their partner would never find out (36 percent for men and 45 percent for women).
