Infidelity is a breach of trust that can undo a relationship. Even if your husband or partner cheats on you, the task of moving on, whether that means leaving your partner or forgiving the past, is never an easy decision.   

There is rarely a single reason why a person becomes unfaithful to his or her significant other. But, as relationship therapist Esther Perel reveals, the reason is not always about sex, and it's not always because it is an unhappy marriage.

"The fact is the majority of couples who have experienced affairs stay together," Perel said. "Desire runs deep. Betrayal runs deep. But it can be healed."
