Going on dates can be daunting, with the fear increasing tenfold if it's been a while since you last went out with anyone, but thanks to digital technology, we were able to make some aspects of the game a little bit easier. At Globe Telecom's two-day Digital Lifestyle Expo, we found a few cool ways to help you get back into the groove—from helping you find a great place to have dinner to securing an escape route, stat! Read on to find out more.

1. Set the mood.
Preparing for date night starts with having the right music—something Spotify can definitely help you with. While you can use it to look up new releases from your favorite artists, it's also a great place to seek out (or create) playlists that match your mood. From playlists to help you get ready for your date to those you can play in the car where your hands are bound to accidentally touch, we're sure that you'll find the right mood music to suit your tastes.

2. Pick a restaurant.
Speaking of tastes, choosing a restaurant can be difficult, especially if you're not too familiar with what's on offer near you. The good news is that you can rely on Zomato (pronounced zo-mah-tow) to help you make yoour decision. With Zomato, you can easily look for interesting prospects depending on your location. In fact, Zomato country manager Anton Ojeda confesses that he and his wife usually base their decision on the first two restaurants that pop up non the app. No need to argue. Much.

3. Secure your seats.
Back in the day, watching a movie meant having to fall in line to purchase your tickets. Then came the advent of online reservations where you can pick a seat and print out a voucher, which you can surrender and pay for at the ticket booth. The lines are shorter, yes, but fall in line you still do. Downloading Globe Telecom's Gmovies app, however, allows you to buy the movie tickets straight via your smartphone in real-time! You can look at screening schedules, choose your seats, and pay for your tickets in an instant so you wouldn't even have to queue at the ticket booth. All you have to do is show your e-ticket right at any Ayala cinema door and you're in. Very convenient!

4. Have an escape plan.
Not all dates have happy endings. If you need to cut yours short or if you're hoping to avoid the awkward walk to your door, simply take a cab home via Grab Taxi. This app doesn't just help you find a cab quick; it also detects your current location, provides you with your estimated fare, and allows your family members to track your ride as well.
