Bianca Gonzalez is happy and content with who she is today: a wife and a mom, primarily, and a successful TV host, career-wise. "Now that I’m a wife and a mom, meron akong feeling na, ‘Buti na lang nagawa ko na iyong mga gusto kong gawin sa career ko,’ before I got married and had a child," she told Pep.ph.
Bianca tied the knot with professional basketball player JC Intal on December 4, 2014 after dating for more than three years. Prior to that, she worked her way to establish a name for herself as a prominent host, vlogger, product endorser, and book author.
"Na-enjoy ko talaga yung single career woman life ko. So when I finally settled down, wala ako yung ‘What if.’ ‘What if nag-yes ako sa work na ito? What if nagkatuluyan kami ng isang guy?’ Walang gano’n because parang nagawa ko na lahat."
There is satisfaction in being able to do everything she wanted to do before settling down, because understandably, priorities change when you start building a family.
“Not because my life stops when you have a husband and a child, but, of course, yung priority mo, sila na. So you will have that guilty feeling if puro ka work-work-work.”
In a previous interview with SmartParenting.com.ph, Bianca said she sometimes feels bad when she has to leave her two-year-old daughter Lucia at home to go to work. “I’m going to go to work 'tapos umiiyak siya, ayaw niya ako umalis.”
She feels the same way even when she goes out to make time for herself to recharge, an important exercise every mom must do.
“Feeling ko parang, I’m bad if I leave her just to have fun or because I want to go out to buy things for myself,” she says.
This reinforces her message to all the single women out there: Reach the goals you want to reach before getting married, so you won't have regrets later on.
“I am all for enjoying your single life first before getting married. Definitely.”
