Science Daily reports that teenagers who develop positive attitudes in school may be more likely to find employment and perform well in their respective careers.

Researchers from the Assessment & Development Consultants and the charity ThinkForward surveyed 270 students from 12 secondary schools about their behavior toward academic life. A coaching team was then asked to iron out issues and reinforce a positive outlook in the participants.

The results revealed that those who developed positive attitudes slept better, showed less hyperactivity, and had fewer emotional problems. Attitudes like self-belief and aspiration also increased their ability to perform well with a group. They also developed better problem solving skills, making them happier, and consequently, more employable.

If you’re looking for work, it may be a good idea to develop these attributes more. Having a positive attitude may very well pay off in the near future.
