In the age of DVDs and the Internet, it can be hard to convince kids to play with tangible toys. Get your kids off the couch by giving them playthings that’ll pique their interest, stimulate their brains, and help them form friendships.

Erica Paner, a teacher at the Ateneo de Manila Grade School, adds, “Toys should also build self-esteem and develop values such as persistence and respect for other people.”
