For those of you who are still looking for the perfect place to spend your holidays, you might want to consider heading north this time. Thanks to the newly opened Anduyan Bridge and the Aringay-Tubao Alternate Road, going to Baguio from La Union and vice versa just got so much easier, which means you'll get the most out of that long drive north!

Inaugurated on November 26 by the Department of Public Works and Highways, the bridge and the complementing alternate road in La Union will cut the travel time from Tuba, La Union to Benguet from two hours to 35 minutes. For those heading to Baguio, it will now only take an hour instead of two hours and 25 minutes. Now you can come up with an extensive itinerary that includes Baguio, Benguet, and La Union in just one trip!
According to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the bridge and the alternate road are expected to decongest traffic along Agoo-Baguio City Road or Marcos Highway and Bauang-Baguio Road or Naguilian Road. "Those who would like to spend the holidays in Baguio can use this bridge," said DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, noting that the landslide-prone Kennon Road is still closed.
