Interested in indulging in a bit of luxury? One of the teams behind the now-defunct UBERChopper is back to give commuters an alternative choice to reach their destinations.
Filipino company AirTrav Corp. has finally launched its much-awaited Manila-Clark-Manila and Manila-Puerto-Galera-Manila flights on June 20, 2018. Through AirTrav, you can now travel from Manila to Clark in just 30 minutes (one-way fare is P4,500, per person), and from Manila to Puerto Galera in 40 minutes (one-way fare is P6,000, per person). For flights to Clark, the plane will land at the Clark International Airport, and for Puerto Galera, the plane will land at Fridays Puerto Galera resort.
The Robinson R-44 can seat up to three passengers and can fly up to 300 nautical miles—which means three hours without refueling. Meanwhile, the Cessna Grand Caravan can seat eight passengers comfortably, with enough room for their luggage and other items. It can also safely land on water.
Head of AirTrav Corp., Pilot Jacob Cusi, says that they plan to add more destinations in the near future—Visayas this 2018 and Mindanao on 2019. They also aim to offer more affordable travel packages and tour options, by teaming up with various resorts and even festivities/events organizers from all over the country. Currently, they are the official helicopter tour provider for the annual Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival held at Clark Pampanga.
AirTrav also provides VIP helicopter transfers, city tours, marriage proposals, and flower droppings. You can even rent the aircraft for chartered flights, emergency purposes, or other personal use not mentioned above.
