Just recently, Bishop Teodoro Bacani lamented the lack of attention paid to Jesus Christ during the Christmas season, saying that Santa Claus has taken over the holiday here in the Philippines. While we’re not entirely certain about that, you do have to agree that Christmas traditions nowadays include swooping down on bazaars and malls and getting stuck in traffic for hours, all in the pursuit of the perfect holiday “it” thing of the year.
