Haven’t figured out what you want to do with your life just yet? You’re not the only one, and it’s totally okay. There’s no one formula for winning at life. Sometimes, the best thing you can do is keep your head above the water ala Kristen Bell in The Lifeguard or learn to acknowledge your fears just like Keira Knightley in Laggies. Not convinced? Check out these awesome movies that tell it like it is!

Years after high school has ended, Megan (Keira Knightley) finds that nothing has changed. She’s still with her high school sweetheart, still friends with the same people, and has absolutely no plans for her future. A chance encounter with teenager Annika (Chloe Grace Moretz) at a liquor store sets off a sequence of events that makes her realize that she has to face her fears of growing up sometime soon.

The Lifeguard

Having had enough of life in New York City, Leigh (Kristen Bell) decides to go back to her hometown and stay at her parents’ indefinitely. She becomes reacquainted with two of her former friends and gets a job as a lifeguard at the community pool where she meets two young men Jason and Matt. Over the next few weeks, she becomes close with Jason, but as with all good things, summer doesn’t last forever, and Leigh realizes that she’s not the only one who has to get her life in order.

The Internship

When Billy (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Owen Wilson) get laid off at work, they decide to apply as interns at Google, alongside lots of fresh graduates. While their obvious lack of tech know-how makes fitting in hard, the two former salesmen eventually learn that it’s never too late to build a new life for themselves. Likewise, the young kids they become acquainted with realize that there’s more to life than just the rat race.

Life after high school isn’t exactly as amazing as Romy (Mira Sorvino) and Michele (Lisa Kudrow) hoped it would be, so when they get an invitation to their high school reunion, they decide to pose as the inventors of Post-it notes. Their charade doesn’t exactly go according to plan, and the two best friends get into a huge fight. Before the night is over, however, the two women make peace and face their bullies together.
