It’s hard enough having to share a room with someone else; it’s harder still when the occupants are all different ages. Such was the case with the three girls whose plight caught the attention of Real Living. With a full-fledged teenager, an early teener, and a tween as its occupants, the room was also slightly confused: it had no real personality, and the girls’ combined possessions practically took over the space.

“There’s so much clutter,” says their mother. “They weren’t able to clean the room by themselves. Walang madaanan (There's no way to pass through.).”

The lack of space was in large part due to the odd layout of the room. Cabinets lined one wall, which significantly narrowed the space. One of the sisters also complained that she would always bump her head on the top part of the bunk bed. Her sister, who shared the bed with her, adds, “My place is so hot! The cabinet was covering the aircon.” Since the air-conditioner was placed on one end of the room, the cool air could barely make it to their side.
