For most people, going on a break means taking a vacation or scheduling a day at the spa. For the owner of this home, it means leaving his home/office and going two floors down to his “guest room.”
He lives in a nondescript building on the outskirts of the Makati business district. His primary residence lies on the fourth floor, which also doubles as the office of his advertising and graphics company. When a unit on the second floor was vacated, this homeowner thought that he could make use of the space. It took three weeks of nonstop renovation to turn the stark studio-type unit into its current state: a relaxing sanctuary and a hip hangout for this homeowner and his friends.
