We're just weeks away from Art Fair Philippines 2020. And that means we're closer to seeing the new pieces, new artists, and new galleries that we await each year.

Whether you're a collector or just an art fan, here's everything you need to know about the upcoming event:

Art Fair Philippines has taken place at The Link, Ayala Center, Makati for years, and this year's edition is no different. The parking building will be transformed once again to a multi-story art showcase of established and up-and-coming artists and galleries.

When does 10 Days of Art begin?

The fair isn't just confined to a three-day event. Starting February 14, Art Fair Philippines' 10 Days of Art will commence. It's the organizers' way of celebrating the best in Philippine contemporary art with different partners around the city.

It's always a bit of a surprise, and we can expect the organizers to top last year's events, which included the Panasonic-sponsored video project of G.A. Fallarme, Henk-Gert Lenten, and Gedrocks Roldan's Birth of Venus on the facade of The Peninsula Manila.

We can also expect more events, exhibitions, and establishments in connection to the fair. Not to mention, the special perks that await.

What's there to expect this year?

As the premier platform for modern and contemporary Philippine art, Art Fair Philippines continues to innovate. This year, along with co-presenters AyalaLand, BPI, Globe Platinum, and Julius Baer and official timekeeper Hublot, the fair is presenting special exhibits, lecture series, historical tours, and more.

Are there any new sections?

Art Fair Philippines introduced the photo section in 2018, and this year, it's putting the medium in the spotlight once more. In the past, the section, which presents "photography as contemporary art," featured Neal Oshima, MM Yu, Jill Paz, Tom Epperson, and more.

Which galleries will be exhibiting?

From Altro Mondo Gallery to Ysobel Art Gallery, there are over 48 participating art galleries for Art Fair Philippines 2020.

Check out the full list of exhibitors here.

What does the schedule look like?

The first day of Art Fair Philippines is on Friday, February 21 and it will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. throughout its run. There are different talks by professionals, artists, and experts you should take note of, as well. These will be revealed at the Art Fair Philippines site as the days go by. See the full schedule here.
